A series of graphics and words flash across the screen. Images of WWE superstars flash one after the other going from left to right one after another. “No Mercy Pre Show” flashes up on the screen and we are shown the outside of the Chase Center in San Francisco where a table is set up with a panel sitting at it and a crowd forming up behind them.
RENEE PAQUETTE: Ladies and gentlemen, my name is Renee Paquette and this is the No Mercy Pre Show presented to you by Hard Mountain Dew. Joining me for this panel to help break down No Mercy, I have with me the host of NotSam wrestling podcast and host of The Sam Roberts Show SiriusXM radio, Sam Roberts!
SAM ROBERTS: Renee, thank you for having me. Should be a great night of professional wrestling here in San Francisco!
RENEE PAQUETTE: Next on the panel, we have a WWE Superstar ready to give his insight into some of the matches we will see here tonight, Matt Cardona!
MATT CARDONA: Renee, this panel is made better by my existence on it. This Sam Roberts guy may have a podcast and radio show, but I’m a certified WWE legend!
SAM ROBERTS: That seems like a bit of a stretch.
RENEE PAQUETTE: And on my left, a man who needs no introduction but should probably get one anyway because people may not know who he is. A man who has followed professional wrestling for a long time, he hosts his own wrestling YouTube show, RJ City!
RJ CITY: Renee, this panel is made better by my existence on it.
MATT CARDONA: Hey! That’s what I said! He’s stealing my lines!
RJ CITY: I do like Sam Roberts, though.
SAM ROBERTS: Thanks, RJ.
RENEE PAQUETTE: And finally…
Renee takes a deep breath before introducing the last person.
STOKELY HATHAWAY: Get on with it, Renee.
RENEE PAQUETTE: And finally, Stokely Hathaway.
STOKELY HATHAWAY: No blossoming introduction for all my accolades, Renee? Surely this is a joke.
RENEE PAQUETTE: Well, I mean, what exactly are your accolades?
STOKELY HATHAWAY: Just get the show on the road, I got a lot I want to say.
RENEE PAQUETTE: All right then. Folks, No Mercy is shaping up to be the biggest Premium Live Event card in recent WWE history. A monstrous ten match card tonight with a ton of feuds coming to a head here, we’re going to see Boiler Room Brawls, Fatal Four Ways and a Hell in a Cell here tonight!
RJ CITY: We are primed to see some brutal and exciting action!
SAM ROBERTS: I know we didn’t see any title changes at SummerSlam, but I got a feeling that won’t be the case tonight.
MATT CARDONA: We should have seen one at SummerSlam! My girl Chelsea Green was cheated out of a title!
STOKELY HATHAWAY: Your girl had her chance, Cardona! She’s gonna see someone get the job done tonight!
RJ CITY: What about the tag team titles? The Machine Guns have got Punk and Stevie in their sights!
RENEE PAQUETTE: Gentlemen, please! One match at a time. We will break card down match by match. So let’s get to it…
RENEE PAQUETTE: John Cena and Nick Wayne are unlikely opponents after what we’ve seen the last few weeks from the nWo Elite. They’ve been heavily implying that Nick join their ranks and leave The Patriarchy. However, after last week’s exchange of words between Christian and The Elite, Nick Wayne finds himself in a match with John Cena.
MATT CARDONA: This bum, Cena! Turned his back on WWE and just an overall piece of sh - -
RENEE PAQUETTE: All right now, Matt. Let’s try and leave personal feelings out of this.
MATT CARDONA: I hope Nick Wayne beats his ass!
The crowd gathered around the panel cheers loudly as Cardona states his hopes for the match.
STOKELY HATHAWAY: This Nick Wayne seems like he’s got a good head on his shoulders. It can’t be so bad for him if he’s got guys like John Cena and Christian fighting over him.
RJ CITY: To be fair, it doesn’t seem like Cena cares if Wayne wants to join nWo Elite or not. He wants to prove a point here tonight.
STOKELY HATHAWAY: Then I’m a little more worried for Nick Wayne.
SAM ROBERTS: If I’m Nick Wayne, I’m a little hesitant to trust The Bucks and nWo Elite as it is.
RJ CITY: You can’t deny the success they’ve had so far, though. Former tag team champions and winners of the main event at SummerSlam.
MATT CARDONA: Shut up, RJ! Let’s move on, Renee. I’m already tired of talking about these fools!
RENEE PAQUETTE: Fair enough, moving right along…
RENEE PAQUETTE: This fatal four way match came about at the end of last week’s battle royal to determine the next number one contender for the WWE Women’s Championship. The nWo Elite debuted their newest member, or should I say members in the form of Eve Torres and Ember Moon. Moon helped Eve Torres sneak back into the match after being eliminated and then helped her eliminate Rhea Ripley, Bianca Belair and the now injured Naomi to help Torres win the match. Stephanie McMahon came out shortly afterwards and stripped Eve or her number one contendership and stated we’d have this match to determine the next contender. Did I get all the details in this one right?
STOKELY HATHAWAY: Probably not. I wasn’t really listening.
SAM ROBERTS: You did, Renee. Blair Davenport was added to the match for her recent success and then Lash Legend was put into the match after Naomi’s injury due to Lash being in the ring when all the craziness went down.
MATT CARDONA: Listen, I have my favorite in the women’s division and that’s pretty clear. I kind of like all of these women though. They all have some fight in them.
RJ CITY: I actually find myself agreeing with Cardona. Lash has been building towards her big moment and she thought that the battle royal was going to be it.
SAM ROBERTS: Then Rhea Ripley happened.
STOKELY HATHAWAY: That’s the big one, right?
SAM ROBERTS: The big one, indeed. She has to be the favorite coming into this one, no?
MATT CARDONA: Gambling isn’t legal in California but if I was going to put my money on anyone, it might be her but Belair, Davenport and Lash could all get the win. Fatal four way matches have a tendency to be a little crazy.
RJ CITY: You’re not just fighting one person. You’re fighting three of them.
STOKELY HATHAWAY: Really? That’s your breakdown of this match?
RJ CITY: Is it…wrong?
STOKELY HATHAWAY: It doesn’t matter who wins this match because whoever it is, they’re going to run into The Blueprint herself and no one is going to dethrone her once she wins the title.
RENEE PAQUETTE: That seems a little presumptuous.
STOKELY HATHAWAY: What’d you just say!? Alexa, what does that word she just said mean?
SAM ROBERTS: Blair Davenport wasn’t involved in the battle royal match, but she’s coming into this one with a bit of momentum. She’s got the ability to get the win in this one as well. Keep your eyes on her.
MATT CARDONA: I’m gonna say Ripley but that’s mostly because I don’t want her mad at me.
RJ CITY: Smart.
RENEE PAQUETTE: Moving along…
RENEE PAQUETTE: …Tommy End has been terrorizing Adam Cole and the Undisputed Era for the last month now after kidnapping Austin and Colten Gunn and eliminating Nikkita Lyons from the women’s battle royal last week. Now Tommy End and Adam Cole are going to meet in a Boiler Room Brawl later tonight.
STOKELY HATHAWAY: Listen, this Tommy guy is a creep.
RJ CITY: Not wrong.
STOKELY HATHAWAY: He’s a weirdo.
RJ CITY: Again…
STOKELY HATHAWAY: And I think he may have kidnapped some others in the past as well, like maybe a priest or something!
RJ CITY: I think the authorities may appreciate our silence about it going forward.
MATT CARDONA: Have you guys ever been to a boiler room? There’s all kinds of crazy stuff in there. Roberts, you look like you’ve spent a bunch of time in boiler rooms.
SAM ROBERTS: What is that supposed to mean?
MATT CARDONA: You know what it means!
RJ CITY: I spent some time in boiler rooms.
SAM ROBERTS: Whatever. I know we’re in line to see a lot of good wrestling tonight across the card but this one is going to be a fight. Plain and simple. These two are going to inflict a lot of pain on one another.
STOKELY HATHAWAY: He’s right. This match ain’t for the faint at heart. There’s all kinds of things that can be used as weapons down there. Adam Cole looks like he’s ready though. He’s tired of being tormented.
RJ CITY: Can’t really say I blame him.
MATT CARDONA: Dude has had his girl messed with and his boys kidnapped. As soon as he enters that boiler room, he’s gonna let out a lot of anger and frustration.
RJ CITY: Yet, Tommy End might have gotten exactly what he wanted with this match. He can inflict a lot of pain and damage down there.
STOKELY HATHAWAY: As far as I’m concerned, Tommy End can stay in the boiler room!
RJ CITY: Are you afraid of Tommy?
STOKELY HATHAWAY: I ain’t afraid of nobody!
RJ CITY: That’s a double negative.
MATT CARDONA: All I know is I’m glad it’s these two fighting in a boiler room down there and not me. It’s dark, creepy and there’s all kinds of pipes and stuff down there. It’s gonna be brutal.
RENEE PAQUETTE: Moving on to our next match…
RENEE PAQUETTE: …Ash by Elegance is taking on Ruby Soho.
STOKELY HATHAWAY: I’ve got a lot I want to say about this one.
RENEE PAQUETTE: Well it’ll have to wait as we’re going ringside to Michael Cole and Wade Barret who will have the call for this one because it’s coming up next!
The camera cuts to inside the Chase Arena as fans are still filing into but there’s a good number of people already in their seats ready to watch the action tonight.
MICHAEL COLE: Renee and everyone else outside of the Chase Arena right now, thank you for that. We have some action coming up for you on this pre show!
WADE BARRETT: More than just a match, Cole. We get to be blessed by Ash by Elegance’s presence!
MICHAEL COLE: Well, she has her hands full with Ruby Soho here tonight, Wade.
WADE BARRETT: The Social Outcast has no business being in the ring with Ash by Elegance in my opinion.
”Ruby Soho” by Rancid plays over the P.A. system and the crowd comes to their feet for their first match of the night. Soho appears through the curtain and starts making her way down to the ring.
SAMANTHA IRVIN: The following contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, making her way to the ring, The Punk Rock Ragdoll Ruuubyyy Sooohooo!
MICHAEL COLE: This is a great opportunity here tonight for Soho to make a statement in this women’s division.
WADE BARRETT: Grace and dignity are lacking when it comes to Ruby Soho. Makes me sick.
Soho’s music fades as “Elegance Personified” starts to play. The crowd starts to boo a bit as the personal concierge makes his way through the curtain first, Ash following along after him. They interlock arms and start making their way down to the ring.
SAMANTHA IRVIN: And her opponent, led to the ring by the personal concierge, Aaash by Elllegaaance!
MICHAEL COLE: Here they come, Wade. These bosom buddies are never too far from one another.
WADE BARRETT: Cole, I’m just gonna say it. It’s an absolute shame that Ash by Elegance is planted on this pre-show when she should be in the main event. Not sure what management is doing here.
The Concierge holds the ropes open for Ash as she steps through and into the ring. Her music fades out and she loses some of the excess accessories she wears down to the ring.
Ruby looks ready to get this one underway as Ash takes her time removing her non-wrestling gear. The referee asks the concierge to leave the ring and he obliges, stepping off the apron to the outside. He helps collect Ash’s scarf, jacket, earrings, bracelets, rings, tiara and gloves as she removes them one by one. Ruby holds her arms out towards Ash with an annoyed look on her face as the removal process is taking longer than Ruby would like for it to take. Finally, it seems like Ash by Elegance is ready for the match to start as the referee checks with her and then checks with Ruby. Both women give a nod and the referee calls for the bell, getting this match officially underway.
MICHAEL COLE: It took Ash by Elegance twenty minutes to take her gear off.
WADE BARRETT: You’re being hyperbolic, Cole! Jealousy is afoot!
MICHAEL COLE: What am I jealous about?
The two circle one another before finally coming to lock up. Ash uses her size advantage to push Ruby back into the corner. The referee steps in and asks for a clean break, trying to move Ash back away from Ruby. As the referee gets in between Soho and Ash, Ash reaches over the ref and slaps Ruby in the face. Ruby grabs the ref and moves them out of the way, wanting to get at Ash. Ash wasn’t ready for that to light a fire under Soho like it did as Ruby drills her with a right forearm, knocking her back. Ruby hits her again and then with a third forearm, staggering Ash by Elegance. Ruby bounces off the ropes and comes back, taking flight with a flying crossbody. Ash goes down and Ruby stays on top of her in a pinning predicament! 1...2…No! Ash gets a shoulder up and quickly climbs up to her feet. Ruby does so as well but Ash is up first, grabbing Ruby around the head and lifting her up before dropping her down with a suplex. Ash makes it look easy picking up the much smaller Soho and dropping her down in a heap.
WADE BARRETT: Pure strength from Ash by Elegance.
MICHAEL COLE: Ruby has to overcome a size advantage in nearly every match she’s involved in.
Ash doesn’t go for a pin though, instead pulling Ruby up by her hair back up to her feet. Ash whips Soho into the corner, her back smacking into the turnbuckles. Ash runs towards the staggered Soho and does a cartwheel into a back handspring into the corner. Soho stumbles out of the corner as Ash bounces off the ropes behind her, grabbing her around the head and driving it into the mat with a bulldog! Ash goes for a pin. 1…2…2.9999! Soho gets a shoulder up. The Concierge yells at the referee that it was a three count but the referee holds up two fingers towards him. Ash is on her knees, looking down at Soho, who is struggling to get back to her feet. Ash grabs Ruby and whips her into the ropes. As Ruby comes back, Ash looks to hit her with a clothesline but Soho ducks under it, bouncing off the ropes behind Ash and coming back with a full head of steam. Ash tries to get a back elbow onto Ruby but she ducks under that one as well, stopping right as she passes Ash, grabbing her by the arm and whipping her to the mat with an arm drag.
MICHAEL COLE: That’s what Ruby has to do. She has to use her speed in this one if she wants to win.
WADE BARRETT: She’s still favoring her head and shoulder after earlier. Lots of high impact moves in this one.
Ash crawls back to her feet where Ruby is waiting for her, looking for an enzuigiri as Ash rises up, but Ash ducks under the kick attempt. Ruby lands on the mat and Ash picks her back up quickly before she can recover. Ruby swipes up, knocking Ash’s hands away and hits her with a forearm to the face and then another, stunning Ash. Ruby runs to the ropes and as Soho hits them, thinking she will bounce back towards Ash, she’s stopped. Someone has reached up and grabbed Soho’s foot but it’s not the Personal Concierge! Tiara James is outside the ring and has a grip on Ruby’s foot so she can’t move! The referee sees it and comes over to admonish James and get her out of here. Ruby seems confused and in confusion, Ash grabs her from behind and whips her down to the mat with a neckbreaker! Soho grabs at her head and shoulders again in pain, rolling back and forth slowly on the mat as Ash by Elegance steps through the ropes and climbs to the top rope. Tiara James has moved away from ringside with her hands up, trying to say she didn’t do anything. Ash measures out the distance as Ruby slowly rolls back towards her, still in pain. Ash takes flight and drills Ruby Soho with Rarified Air! Soho grabs at her chest in pain as Ash pins her, hooking the leg tight. 1…2…3! She got her!
WINNER
ASH BY ELEGANCE
7:54 via PINFALL
SAMANTHA IRVIN: Here is your winner, AAASH BY ELLLEGAAANCE!
MICHAEL COLE: What in the world is Tiara James doing out here? She might have just cost Ruby Soho that match.
WADE BARRETT: Seems as though she is aligning herself with the hottest star in the women’s division.
MICHAEL COLE: Seems like she just helped Ash by Elegance cheat to get that win.
WADE BARRETT: Jealousy is an ugly color on you, Cole.
MICHAEL COLE: Sure, Wade. Fans, No Mercy is just a few minutes away from starting and you still have time to make sure you have a front row seat for the show. Let’s go back out to Renee Paquette and the rest of the pre-show panel as we get set for tonight’s Premium Live Event!
The Concierge rolls into the ring and celebrates with Ash, holding her arm up victoriously. Ash gets up on the second rope and holds her hands out to her sides triumphantly as the scene fades from inside the arena to back outside.
RENEE PAQUETTE: Ash by Elegance picking up the win here on the No Mercy Pre-Show, presented by Hard Mountain Dew!
MATT CARDONA: What kind of stuff does a personal concierge do? Like, your laundry and cooking?
RJ CITY: Maybe drive you around in a car. Sounds a lot like what Stokely does for Mercedes.
STOKELY HATHAWAY: Excuse me?
SAM ROBERTS: That’s a good win for Ash by Elegance. I really like what we’ve seen from her so far. She’s got some real star potential.
STOKELY HATHAWAY: Ain’t no potential about it. She clearly is a star already. Private boxes. Red carpets. Her own concierge. As long as she stays out of the way of The Blueprint, she has a chance to be big.
RENEE PAQUETTE: Speaking of The Blueprint…
RENEE PAQUETTE: …she has the chance to do something tonight that no woman in the women’s division has done. She can take the WWE Women’s Championship off of Serena Deeb.
STOKELY HATHAWAY: And she will!
RENEE PAQUETTE: Mercedes Moné showed up at SummerSlam with one thing in mind, the WWE Women’s Championship. She immediately called out Deeb, who has no problem stepping up to a challenge. But it’s seemed like Moné has had Deeb’s number the last few weeks. Moné even chased off Dakota Kai for a potential Money in the Bank cash-in attempt last week.
SAM ROBERTS: We’ve seen Moné be in some big matches in the WWE women’s division and this one is going to be no different. This might be my match of the night.
MATT CARDONA: You know, Chelsea Green has gone out there and beat a lot of people in her career.
RJ CITY: Oh no, not this whole thing again.
MATT CARDONA: Shut it, RJ! What I was saying was that Chelsea has faced a lot of people and she’d probably kill me for saying this, but she said Serena Deeb was the toughest woman she’s ever been in the ring with. Even with her short size and stature, she said Deeb is a fighter out there.
SAM ROBERTS: There’s no doubt about it. She’s turned back every challenger and there’s been quite a few of them.
RJ CITY: This one feels a little different tonight though, doesn’t it?
STOKELY HATHAWAY: You damn right it does, RJ City. Tonight is the end of the line for Serena Deeb’s boring chokehold on the women’s division and the first night of the rest of the division’s life. Mercedes Moné is here to save the women’s division and that’s exactly what she’s going to do tonight.
SAM ROBERTS: I don’t think it’s going to be as easy as you think, Stokely.
STOKELY HATHAWAY: Sam, there’s a reason you have a radio show and not a TV show. Shut your ugly face up before I have Daniel Garcia shut it for you.
RENEE PAQUETTE: Gentlemen, there’s no need for this.
STOKELY HATHAWAY: You’re right, you’re right. I’m sorry Sam Roberts that I called you ugly. It don’t mean it’s not true, but I’m sorry I said it.
SAM ROBERTS: Uh...apology accepted I guess.
RENEE PAQUETTE: Our next match…
RENEE PAQUETTE: …is for the Intercontinental Championship between Joey Janela and Mankind. Mankind defending his title in a steel cage match against Adam Cole at SummerSlam and Joey Janela winning a number one contendership match against Bron Breakker was how this matchup came to be but it’s really blown up the last few weeks with each person trying to get in their opponent’s head.
MATT CARDONA: I don’t think there’s much of a head for either guy to get into. Both of these guys are crazy.
RJ CITY: Yeah, I think we’re going to see a lot of pain and damage in this match.
SAM ROBERTS: For Mankind to be doing what he’s doing at his age is a testament to his willpower.
STOKELY HATHAWAY: Or how hard headed he is.
SAM ROBERTS: That could be the case as well. Joey Janela has really found his groove since coming into WWE.
RJ CITY: You have to appreciate a guy who has no problems walking around and looking like he does.
STOKELY HATHAWAY: He’s a very dirty man.
MATT CARDONA: I really don’t lean one way or the other in this one. I know that whoever wins likely won’t be the same after this match and it’s not even a hardcore match or anything like that.
RJ CITY: No, these two are both capable of causing all kinds of pain to one another legally.
SAM ROBERTS: Is this the best iteration of Mankind that we’ve seen in WWE history?
RJ CITY: Well, it’s hard to say that since he’s a former world champion but I certainly think you can make a case for it.
MATT CARDONA: I don’t know, bro. Seems like he’s the same dude he’s always been. He’s as dangerous as ever. It might be the best version of him.
STOKELY HATHAWAY: If I’m doing this when I’m his age, someone put me out of my misery.
RENEE PAQUETTE: Moving right along, let’s discuss the next match…
RENEE PAQUETTE: …for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship. KAIRI has been a valiant champion since winning the title back in July, but tonight she’s facing an incredibly tough challenge in Giulia, who has been making waves since debuting in WWE just a few weeks ago.
RJ CITY: This is going to be a close one, Renee. KAIRI is an incredible athlete but Giulia is no slouch in the ring, either!
STOKELY HATHAWAY: Neither of them compare to Mercedes Moné, though!
MATT CARDONA: Forget about that, neither of them compare to Chelsea Green!
RENEE PAQUETTE: Guys, let’s please stay on track here.
MATT CARDONA: I’m just saying, if my wife was involved in this match, it’d be clear who would be walking out of this one as the winner.
RJ CITY: Well, she’s not involved in this so let’s get back to the topic at hand.
MATT CARDONA: Whatever, bro.
RJ CITY: I’m gonna have to go with KAIRI. Giulia is impressive, no doubt about it, but KAIRI is determined to make the most out of this run in WWE and prove that she has what it takes to be a star.
SAM ROBERTS: You make a good point, RJ, but I’ll be honest, I don’t think anyone’s going to be able to slow down the freight train that is Giulia. She seems pretty unstoppable and I think we’re going to see a new champion tonight.
STOKELY HATHAWAY: And she’ll be an afterthought compared to the new champion that actually matters!
RENEE PAQUETTE: Well our next match…
RENEE PAQUETTE: Will see the tag team champions defend the titles against challengers that actually respect them. I have to say, this has been a refreshing change of pace!
SAM ROBERTS: It honestly has, Renee, and both of these teams are absolutely incredible so this is sure to be a hell of a match.
RJ CITY: You have to wonder how Punk and Richards are feeling after that attack from Noam Dar and Oro Mensah and whether that will play a factor into things tonight.
STOKELY HATHAWAY: Bah! They need to man up! If Those Meta-Dorks had the balls to try and attack Garcia and Starks - -
RJ CITY: Well they didn’t, they attacked the Tag Team Champions.
STOKELY HATHAWAY: I’m just saying, Garcia and Starks would still be showing up, and we should expect the same out of Punk and Richards!
MATT CARDONA: I’m with Stokely on this one!
STOKELY HATHAWAY: Shut it, Cardo - - wait, really?
MATT CARDONA: Really, bro! I mean think about it, if Punk and Richards are really “The Best Tag Team in the World” they should be able to power through that attack. After all, MJF and I powered through the attacks we suffered at the hands of the nWo Elite to face them at SummerSlam!
STOKELY HATHAWAY: Exactly!
RENEE PAQUETTE: I mean, these things happen from time to time, and if anyone is capable of powering through, it’s Punk and Richards. They’re Tag Team Champions for a reason!
SAM ROBERTS: That they are, but I do have a feeling that they might be a little weak after that attack, and I think that could play into the favor of Motor City Machine Guns here tonight.
STOKELY HATHAWAY: New champions again!
MATT CARDONA: It’s about damn time too!
RJ CITY: I gotta go with Punk and Richards on this one, I think they’re gonna find a way to overcome the odds.
RENEE PAQUETTE: I think you’re absolutely right, RJ. While we’re on the subject of tag matches…
RENEE PAQUETTE: …we have to discuss this match for the Women’s Tag Team Championship. The Unholy Union make their first defense since winning the titles at SummerSlam and what a defense it’s going to be!
RJ CITY: You can say that again, Renee! I have a feeling this is going to be pure chaos!
SAM ROBERTS: You’re right about that, RJ. With Abadon - -
MATT CARDONA: What an absolute freak!
SAM ROBERTS: Say what you want, there’s no denying they’re an unpredictable competitor and might help tip things in Shotzi’s favor here tonight!
RJ CITY: I think it was smart for Shotzi to hitch her wagon to Abadon, personally.
STOKELY HATHAWAY: It would’ve been smarter for her to hitch her wagon to Mercedes Moné or Megan Bayne!
RJ CITY: Whatever you say there, Stoke, but with the issues that Shotzi’s had with Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn for months now, someone as reckless and chaotic as Abadon could be just the thing she needs to end those issues once and for all!
RENEE PAQUETTE: I think you’re right, RJ! Abandon has proven themselves to be very unpredictable and while Alba and Isla are wily - -
STOKELY HATHAWAY: Like the coyote!
RENEE PAQUETTE: - - Like what?
STOKELY HATHAWAY: The coyote! Wile. E. Coyote. That’s his full name.
MATT CARDONA: That is his name, bro.
RENEE PAQUETTE: I’m afraid I’m not familiar with this. It’s a coyote?
RJ CITY: Renee…
SAM ROBERTS: It’s from Looney Tunes.
STOKELY HATHAWAY: A-deeb a-deeb a-deeb that’s all folks!
RENEE PAQUETTE: Can we move on now?
RJ CITY: Please.
RENEE PAQUETTE: That brings us to…
RENEE PAQUETTE: …our main event! Big Daddy Cool Diesel is defending the WWE Championship against Corey Graves once again, this time inside the confines of Hell in a Cell!
RJ CITY: This is obviously the one people are anticipating the most, Renee. Diesel has been on a hell of a run as WWE Champion, his match against Graves at SummerSlam was top notch and this one is sure to be an all out war!
SAM ROBERTS: You got that right! Graves is determined to become WWE Champion by any means necessary, and he thinks this is his best shot to do it.
MATT CARDONA: I mean, he’s kinda on to something though. If it wasn’t for that weirdo Danhausen, he’d likely be the champion right now.
STOKELY HATHAWAY: Listen, it doesn’t matter who walks out of No Mercy as the champion tonight, because it’s only a matter of time until Ricky Star - -
RJ CITY: Stokely, man, do you ever just…stop?
STOKELY HATHAWAY: Stop? What does that mean? “Stop” is not a word that Stokely Hathway has in his vocabulary, I’ll have you know. I’m not going to apologize for believing in my people, Mr. City. Believe that.
RJ CITY: Uh huh. Well, back to the match at hand here…Diesel’s been a dominant champion but I think I’m gonna have to go with Corey Graves here tonight.
SAM ROBERTS: I think you’re right, RJ. He’s just so hungry, you can tell how bad he wants this and I think he’s going to pull out all the stops to make sure he walks out as the champion.
RENEE PAQUETTE: I don’t know, I think I’m going to have to vote Diesel for this one. He’s been such a force since winning the title at Unforgiven and shows no signs of slowing down. I think he’s going to do it again and keep the title around his waist.
MATT CARDONA: Honestly, Diesel’s a bad, bad, dude. It’d be stupid to count him out. I think he’s retaining tonight, too.
RENEE PAQUETTE: Folks, we are just seconds away from the start of No Mercy. You still have time to make that call, order this Premium Live Event and see one of the most exciting shows of the year. For the rest of our pre-show panel and Mountain Dew Hard, I am Renee Paquette and we will see you at No Mercy!
SINGLES MATCH
