Sunday Night Heat 6-2-2024

We see Tootie Lynn already in the ring. As she does some pre-match stretches, "Kombat (remix)" by def rebel then echoes through the arena as pink lights flash on the stage. With an intense expression on her face, Dakota Kai steps onto the stage and ignores the fans entirely as she storms down to the ring with purpose.

MIKE ROME: On her way to the ring... from Auckland, New Zealand... Dakota Kai!

Dakota reaches the ring and rolls underneath the bottom ropes.

BETH PHOENIX: Looks like Dakota means business here and frankly, you can't blame her.

MAURO RANALLO: No doubt she'll have some frustrations to get out!




The second that the opening bell rings, Dakota is quick with a sudden barrage of hard shots, then a Scorpion kick. Tootie collapses to the canvas as Dakota sinks to her level and gets in her face. She grabs a handful of her hair and just glares at her. Dakota then pulls her up to her feet and throws her aggressively into the corner. From here, Dakota delivers a huge Kaio Kick to her cornered opponent. As a weary Tootie staggers forward, Dakota nails her with the Kai-Ropractor. She rolls her over, hooking her leg for the cover and the quick victory.




Dakota has her hand raised in victory but she soon pulls away from the referee and exits the ring.

BETH PHOENIX: Dakota not getting paid by the minute.

MAURO RANALLO: She is not sticking around and made incredibly short work of her opponent here tonight. She just wanted to prove a point and let off some steam and well, she did that!

Dakota doesn't stick around as instead, she's quick to just storm back up the ramp, having done the job she intended.

BETH PHOENIX: Is it...is it time?

MAURO RANALLO: Are you actually looking forward to this segment?

BETH PHOENIX: I mean, it's started to grow on me a bit maybe, yeah.

MAURO RANALLO: Pat will be elated.

BETH PHOENIX: Did he cater some food to go along with it this week?

MAURO RANALLO: I don't believe so.

BETH PHOENIX: Okay, I'm looking less forward to this now.

MAURO RANALLO: That's more like it.





MAURO RANALLO: Sometimes these seem to be a bit biased towards Bullet Club Red.

BETH PHOENIX: They have won a lot of matches, for what it's worth.


MAURO RANALLO: I guess that's true. Wanna say thank you to KFC, where you can find the new - -

BETH PHOENIX: Doubledown!? IS THE DOUBLEDOWN BACK!?

MAURO RANALLO: I'm sorry?

BETH PHOENIX: The Doubledown! They took away buns on a sandwich and replaced them with chicken strips.

MAURO RANALLO: The chicken strips were buns? That sounds - -

BETH PHOENIX: Amazing!

MAURO RANALLO: Sadly no, the Doubledown and whatever level of hell it came from has not returned. KFC has saucy bites now! Your favorite bite sized chicken nugget bites smothered in your choice of Honey Sriracha, Nashville Hot, Georgia Gold, Korean BBQ - -

BETH PHOENIX: So many choices!

MAURO RANALLO: Sticky Chicky Sweet N' Sour or try them unsauced.

BETH PHOENIX: I want them all! Pat! Hook is up!

MAURO RANALLO: Let's get back to the action, shall we?

BETH PHOENIX: I'm too hungry now, Mauro! How are you not!?

Family means everything and Shayna Wayne knows this better than anyone else as well, what it is to have everything for yourself, and to know that the entire world is waiting and watching to see what you can do.



SHAYNA WAYNE: To think that I had my chance, and it was taken away from me, because Triple H didn’t want our family to control everything that there was within this company, he is nothing more than a man who has long given up in stepping into the ring himself, the same for his wife as well, knowing that they sit behind a desk, both of them, pushing pencils, that there entire family have become nothing more than mere jokes and little else and they feel, hatred for themselves.

As she stands on the stage for the moment, looking down at the ring to the one who was seeking to take everything from her, the father has won championship gold and brought it to the family, now the son is stepping up to the money in the bank ladder match for himself, and she was going to do the same, but for her, they denied her and stopped her.

SHAYNA WAYNE: Just because your own family has fallen and become nothing more than a joke of what it once was, now you feel that you are about to be replaced, our family is strong, we don’t hide within the back, we don’t wear suits, and we don’t just talk, we take action whenever we need to and we get things done, Christian Cage has already become the greatest champion this company has ever seen and it has not even been a week, our son, is stepping up to bring the money in the bank into our family as well, but for the women’s money in the bank, it was meant to be me, my one match and it was taken from me, because Triple H and his wife, didn’t want us having everything for ourselves, out of nothing other than fear that our family would surpass their own.

She would remain there for the moment, Shayna Wayne was walking forward, leaving the family members behind, the title had been won, but the money in the bank, but of those cases, where up for grabs and the family wanted both of them, now more than ever before to tighten there strangle hold on the company and to squeeze every single last droplet of success out of this place and to take it all for themselves, as Shayna Wayne reached the bottom of the ramp, walked up the steps and would go through the ropes and into the ring.

SHAYNA WAYNE: I don’t know who you think you are, what your goals are and what you think is going to happen, but from day one, this has been our company, we have done everything here and we have taken over and I am not going to sit on the sidelines and allow something like this, to go by us and not land in our laps, the money in the bank is the key to gaining the women’s championship for us, and like father like son, Christian stepped up for Nick and was a shining example of what a parent should do for there child, to lead by example and show them how to get business done, and now it is my turn, some little freak like you, has no idea what crossing us can do for you, you want to have success, your going to have your five minutes of fame, right here, tonight.

Shayna Wayne would take the microphone and toss it to the official before she would remove her jacket and place it down on the ground, dressed to compete, she was not, but she was more than ready to roll up her sleeves and be like the rest of them, she was going to fight for what she wanted and she was going to win.



The lights dim and a familiar entrance theme begins to play. The crowd erupts as Dawn Marie steps out onto the stage, making her long-awaited return to the squared circle. She is dressed in a sleek black catsuit with the cleavage area cut-out as it flares at the knees, paying homage to one of her older attires but now complementing her new, more womanly figure and dark locks that run down her shoulders. Dawn strikes her signature pose on the stage, exuding confidence and drawing cheers from the audience. She begins to walk down the ramp, her eyes fixed on Shayna Wayne, muttering inaudible taunts as she makes her way to the ring.

BETH PHOENIX: She’s here! This is Dawn’s first singles match in almost 20 years! I can’t believe we’re seeing this return!

MAURO RANALLO: She does look amazing, but who knows what Mother Wayne is capable of when she’s this upset. We might all be in for a rude awakening! Let’s see who can pull what out of their handbag.

Dawn steps up the ring steps gracefully, pausing outside the ropes to pose on one knee. She looks over the fans with a confident smirk before entering the ring under the ropes. Immediately, she begins mouthing off at Shayna, her words getting louder, sharper, she is defiant. With a swift motion, Dawn snatches the microphone from the referee, adding a few more cutting remarks of her own as the music cuts.

DAWN MARIE: You know what, Shayna? I didn’t come here to have problems with you. We’ve both been screwed over by the authorities and pushed into this fight tonight. But just who the hell do you think you are?! You think this is me getting my five minutes of fame? Has that peabrain son of yours not warned you exactly who you’re stepping into the ring with? Someone who’s shared the ring with Hall of Famers and legends. To think you’re anything compared to me, one of the main influences in womens wrestling, is laughable! I am the mother of sports entertainment!

Dawn cackles, her laughter echoing through the arena, dripping with disdain as the crowd are quick to turn on her.

DAWN MARIE: You’re just jealous because I’m still so much more desirable and sexier than you and every woman back there. You’re just jealous because Dawn Marie was the poster girl of your son, Nick's bedroom walls, and guess what? It’s still Dawn Marie ‘til this day!

The crowd now buzzes with anticipation as Dawn Marie stands her ground, her confidence unwavering, while Shayna Wayne seethes with anger, ready to strike.

BETH PHOENIX: That’s Dawn Marie! She’s not holding back! The tension between these two is off the charts!



As soon as the bell rings, the two women circle each other cautiously, their eyes locked in fierce determination. Then, with a sudden burst of energy, they charge at one another, each grabbing the other’s hair in a heated grapple until the referee intervenes. Reluctantly, they release their grips, agreeing to continue the match without hair-pulling. BANG! Seizing the opportunity, Shayna throws a powerful right hook, connecting with Dawn's jaw and sending her spinning backward. The crowd, though not fans of either woman, get on their feet to watch them brawl. Dawn staggers, clutching her jaw in shock, while Shayna pursues her, grabbing her arm and spinning her around. With a swift move, Shayna locks Dawn’s head above her shoulder and drops to one knee, executing an unexpected snapmare that sees Dawn now flat on her back.

MAURO RANALLO: Mother Wayne with a vicious snapmare! She’s out for blood tonight!

Sensing victory, Shayna goes for the pin, hooking Dawn’s leg as the referee begins the count. “1! 2!...” No! Dawn Marie manages to jolt her shoulder off the canvas, breaking the pin. Frustrated, Mother Wayne stands up, shaking her head in disappointment, and turns to confirm the referee’s call. But here Dawn takes advantage of Shayna's distraction, pulling her down into a schoolgirl pin. The referee quickly counts the sneaky manoeuvre. “1! 2! 3!”



MAURO RANALLO: Dawn steals the win! What a turn of events!

It was over! The crowd pops again, this time for the unexpected ending to the match as Dawn quickly rolls underneath the ropes, looking angrily back at the ring as she fixes her hair. Shayna’s on her feet, glaring down at Dawn who’s now scolding her with inaudible words as she walks up the ramp, still glaring back at Shayna.

BETH PHOENIX: Shayna Wayne looks furious! Knowing The Patriarchy, I’d be surprised if that’s the ending to this.

MAURO RANALLO: She might’ve been out of the ring for years but she just proved that she still has what it takes to win a match! We’ll see Dawn Marie again soon when, for the first time in her illustrious career, she’ll be in action on Raw, in a qualifying match for the women's Money In The Bank!

BETH PHOENIX: To think that Dawn Marie could be Ms. Money In The Bank in 2024 is just insane!
