Monday Night RAW
June 3, 2024
Xcel Energy Center
St. Paul, Minnesota
As the opening video package ends, pyro explodes on the stage as the crowd in St. Paul, Minnesota is erupting in cheers. The cameras pan through the crowd, showing off various signs reading things like “I Don’t Want To Leave for the Main Event!”, “Punk and Stevie Win or We Riot!”, “WWE is Diesel Powered!” and more. After doing a pan of the Xcel Energy Center, the cameras settle in on the commentary table where we see the team of Michael Cole and Wade Barrett.
MICHAEL COLE: Good evening everybody, and welcome to Monday Night RAW! I’m Michael Cole and joining me tonight is my broadcast partner, the legendary Wade Barrett!
WADE BARRETT: We’re coming straight off the heels of Unforgiven and let me tell you Cole, what a night it was!
MICHAEL COLE: You’ve got that right, Wade, we saw many changes to the landscape of the WWE at Unforgiven. Big Daddy Cool, Diesel, is now the WWE Champion after defeating Swerve Strickland in their second blockbuster match-up!
WADE BARRETT: I have to imagine that Swerve Strickland is not going to go gently into the night after that match! Diesel and Michaels may want to keep their eyes open for any trouble that might be coming their way!
MICHAEL COLE: We all have to remember that the target he’s placed on his back now won’t just have Strickland interested either! There’s plenty of men who will be looking to take advantage of this opening!
WADE BARRETT: Let’s not forget we got ourselves a new Intercontinental Champion in Christian Cage as well! He managed to overcome Sami Zayn which is no small feat!
MICHAEL COLE: The Patriarchy did manage to snake themselves out a victory! Christian is going to be more smug than ever!
WADE BARRETT: I don’t know if I would call Christian smug, he’s just proud of himself as are Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn. Fyre managed to secure herself an impressive victory over two of our female superstars at Unforgiven in their triple threat match.
MICHAEL COLE: And tonight she takes on another challenge in that of the newly signed Shotzi Blackheart. You have to imagine that a lot of our female superstars are going to have a close eye on this one.
WADE BARRETT: That’ll include Shotzi’s friend Dakota Kai who looked quite impressive at Unforgiven against our WWE Women’s Champion, Serena Deeb!
MICHAEL COLE: We’ve got plenty of new female superstars joining the fray heading into Money in the Bank. It’s exciting to imagine what women like Shotzi, Velvet Sky, Britt Baker, Kairi and Kamille are all going to bring to the table. All of these women will see action tonight and I can’t wait for it!
WADE BARRETT: Tonight will also be the first time that we see EVIL in action! The House of Torture member is taking on Kizarny who looks to accomplish what would also be his first victory on RAW!
MICHAEL COLE: Both men are going to be poised to strike for their first victories. Matt Sydal looks to also make an impression with another victory on RAW for himself.
WADE BARRETT: Sydal has been put up against tough competition since he came to WWE. Tonight will be no different, Vampiro has made his intentions of violence clear since he came to the WWE. He took out his own client not long ago, and even nearly secured a victory over Corey Graves.
MICHAEL COLE: Graves has been making his own place here, and tonight we have two superstars also looking to start finding their own spots. Danhausen has been sneaking around, attacking security, and even disguising himself for the opportunity he has tonight.
WADE BARRETT: But he’ll be going up against one of the toughest competitors I’ve ever seen in Pete Dunne, The Bruiserweight. Don’t mistake his small size for being any less of a threat. Dunne has an impressive track record in his climb to secure his own spot in wrestling history, Danhausen might have a few of his own teeth to add to that jar of his after Dunne is done with him tonight.
MICHAEL COLE: Well, let’s not keep the WWE Universe waiting any longer. We’ve got a show to get on the road and it’s going to be interesting to see what the fallout from Unforgiven brings us tonight!
WADE BARRETT: The Empty Arena match is taking place tonight as well, Cole. I’m excited for what we’ll see - -
Michael Cole and Wade Barrett are interrupted as the TitanTron clicks to life and the fans jump to their feet to see what’s going on.
WADE BARRETT: I can’t finish a sentence around here!
MICHAEL COLE: You’ll have to excuse the WWE Universe in St. Paul, Wade, something is going on in one of the parking lots to the Xcel Energy Center!
With the fans on their feet, a giant semi-truck pulls into one of the parking lots backstage. The semi-truck blows its horn a few times, and the fans aren’t sure what to make of it. That is, until “Big Daddy Cool” leans his head out the window of the massive big rig. This brings about a roar of approval from the crowd.
MICHAEL COLE: It’s the WWE Champion, “Big Daddy Cool” Diesel! And he’s in a big rig, Wade!
WADE BARRETT: This is ridiculous! Does this look like a truck stop to you!?
Diesel sounds the horn of the semi-truck a few more times, to a roar of appreciation from the crowd. As the shot expands, Old Man Michaels pops his head out of the passenger side window of the semi-truck.
WADE BARRETT: Ugh, and what is HE doing here!?
MICHAEL COLE: It looks like Two Dudes with Attitudes have arrived to RAW in style!
WADE BARRETT: Style? They’re in a semi-truck! They don’t know the first thing about style.
Diesel hops down from the cab, and it’s hard not to notice the WWE Championship over his shoulder. The big man walks to the front of the truck where he’s joined by Old Man Michaels. Diesel points over his shoulder at the big rig with a smirk, and the crowd is eating it up.
MICHAEL COLE: The crowd loves this, Wade! It’s a new era IN the new era of the WWE!
WADE BARRETT: Yeah, well, I’m already sick of it!
“Big Daddy Cool” and OMM start walking away from the truck, with the cameras following them. There is a group of fans at the back entrance to the arena, hoping to see some WWE superstars, and they’re in luck because Two Dudes with Attitudes stop and sign some autographs. Diesel and OMM enter the arena and start walking through the backstage area.
MICHAEL COLE: It looks like Two Dudes with Attitudes are heading our way!
WADE BARRETT: Okay, now I’m REALLY sick of it!
The cameras follow Diesel and Michaels as they walk through the backstage area. Every now and then a WWE staffer stops the big man to shake his hand, seemingly congratulating him on his big win at Unforgiven. The duo walks through the backstage area a little further and finally they take a turn. Just then, “DIESEL POWERED” hits and the crowd absolutely erupts.
MICHAEL COLE: Here we go, Wade! It’s time to hear from the WWE Champion!
Moments later, “Big Daddy Cool” Diesel walks out onto the stage to a roar from the crowd. He points back towards the entrance and Old Man Michaels comes strutting out, an ear-to-ear smile on his face. Michaels starts down the ramp towards the ring, while Diesel stands on the stage, holding the WWE Championship high into the air. This brings about the loudest cheers so far.
WADE BARRETT: I’ll tell you this much Cole, Diesel is lucky to be holding that championship tonight!
MICHAEL COLE: Luck?! Luck didn’t have anything to do with it! He finally had the chance to beat Swerve Strickland fair and square!
“Big Daddy Cool” begins to slowly walk down the ramp, slapping hands with the fans sitting along the ramp as he does so. Old Man Michaels is already in the ring holding a microphone as the big man climbs up onto the apron and then into the ring. Michaels hands Diesel the microphone and the big man addresses the WWE Universe.
DIESEL: …hey yo.
MICHAEL COLE: Paying homage to the late, great, Scott Hall, of course.
The crowd finally begins to settle down as they’re apparently quite interested in what “Big Daddy Cool” has to say.
DIESEL: You know, I spent the last month talking about showing up on gameday, and at Unforgiven, Big Daddy Cool showed up in a big way…
Diesel holds the WWE Championship high into the air, which brings the fans back to their feet once again.
DIESEL: As far as I’m concerned, tonight isn’t about talking about Swerve Strickland. I’ve done enough of that over the past couple months. Tonight is about the NEW WWE Champion and the WWE Universe, who has always had the new champ’s back!
WADE BARRETT: Oh give me a break already.
DIESEL: You see, I talked a lot about how Big Daddy Cool was the man that needed to be leading the new era of the WWE. I talked about how I’m the kind of guy that this company needs at the forefront, it was just a matter of getting the job done. Well, at Unforgiven, on gameday, I got the job done! And, let me tell you this, the WWE is a better place for it! It’s a new day in this company, and it’s a day that we’re all going to remember for a long, long time. Unforgiven marked the beginning of the WWE running on Diesel Power!
The big man throws a fist into the air.
DIESEL: And, let me tell you this, nothing runs better on Diesel Power than the big boot and the Jackknife powerbomb, the hallmarks for the new era in the WWE!
Old Man Michaels claps for the big man, enjoying this moment as much as the champ himself.
DIESEL: I’ll tell you this, Shawn and I have been living it up since Unforgiven, but we talked about it and we decided that as soon as we got to St. Paul it was time to get back to business. That’s what being the champion is all about…business. And, as I proved at Unforgiven, no one handles business like Big Daddy Cool! So, I guess what I’m saying is, stay tuned for what comes next in the new era of the WWE, it’s going to be one hell of a ride!
“DIESEL POWERED” hits once again, and “Big Daddy Cool” holds the WWE Championship up, bringing the fans to their feet again.
MICHAEL COLE: You heard it here Wade, it’s going to be one hell of a ride with Diesel as the WWE Champion!
WADE BARRETT: Yeah, yeah, I heard it. I think these two ought to get back in that truck and get out of St. Paul!
MICHAEL COLE: Sorry to break it to you Wade, but I think they’re both here to stay! And another one that seems to be here to stay is Alba Fyre, who continues to be on a roll after picking up the win at Unforgiven and she looks to continue her streak here in our first match of the night as she takes on Shotzi Blackheart!
WADE BARRETT: The women’s division continues to flourish and grow in this new era, and Alba Fyre has certainly been a dominant force thus far! It’s a shame she’s so creepy, because she’d make a hell of a champion if you ask me, Cole.
MICHAEL COLE: You’re not wrong, partner, but as dominant as Alba has been, Shotzi Blackheart is equally as determined to prove herself after being on the shelf with an injury for the better part of a year. Let’s find out if she can get the job done!
”The Depths” by def rebel begins to play on the speakers and the crowd starts to boo as fog begins to billow across the stage and Alba Fyre makes her way to the top of the ramp. Looking out at the fans with a smirk, Alba smacks her trusty baseball bat against her hand before slinging it over her left shoulder and making her way down the ramp.
SAMANTHA IRVIN: The following contest is scheduled for one fall! Making her way to the ring, The Hardcore Daredevil, Alllbaaa Fyyyre!
MICHAEL COLE: Alba Fyre is looking very confident here tonight, almost cocky!
WADE BARRETT: Can you really blame her, Cole? It’s like we said just a moment ago, the woman has been on absolute tear!
Reaching the bottom of the ramp, Alba slowly walks over to the steel steps and makes her way up to the apron, raising her bat high in the air before stepping into the ring. Making her way to the center, Alba raises the bat high in the air again as the crowd continues to boo her, and she lowers the bat, walking over to the ropes and handing it off to the ringside attendant and shrugging out of her coat and handing that off as well. Rubbing her hands together excitedly, Alba turns to face the entrance area with a wicked smile as her music fades out. Suddenly, “Ball Pit” by def rebel begins to play and the crowd now begins to cheer as Shotzi Blackheart rides her tank out to the top of the ramp. Looking out at the cheering crowd with a big, excited smile, Shotzi turns her attention to Alba Fyre waiting for her in the ring and her face becomes serious as she suddenly shoots out the torpedo from her tank’s cannon, sending it flying into the ring where it narrowly misses Fyre as it skids across the canvas. Alba glares up at Shotzi who just smirks as she begins driving her tank down the ramp.
SAMANTHA IRVIN: And her opponent, The Ballsy Badass, Shoootziii Blaaackhearrrt!
MICHAEL COLE: Shotzi Blackheart doesn’t look even remotely worried about stepping into the ring with Alba Fyre here tonight!
WADE BARRETT: While I admire her bravado, she may want to have some trepidation going into this. Alba Fyre is a dangerous opponent, and not one to take lightly!
As she drives her tank to the bottom of the ramp, Shotzi climbs up out of it, taking off her helmet and jacket, placing them both inside the tank before turning and heading over the steel steps. As she walks up to the apron, Shotzi pauses for a moment and throws her head back as she lets out a wolf-like howl before entering the ring. Walking over to the corner, Shotzi climbs up onto the second turnbuckle and raises her arms into the air as the crowd continues to cheer her, before she hops down and turns to face Alba Fyre. As her music fades out, Shotzi nods at Alba as a smile forms on her face.
SINGLES MATCH
The bell rings and Alba Fyre lets out a cocky laugh as she walks up to Shotzi Blackheart. The Hardcore Daredevil puts a hand up, indicating that she wants to do a test of strength. Shotzi looks up at Alba’s hand and starts to bring hers up as well, but then nails Alba with a kick to the midsection that causes Fyre to double over in surprise!
MICHAEL COLE: Shotzi Blackheart with a surprise attack there, Wade!
WADE BARRETT: That’s a great way to raise Fyre’s ire, she’s going to want to move quickly if she wants to keep the advantage!
It seems as though Shotzi is hearing what Wade Barrett is saying, as The Ballsy Badass immediately hits the ropes and on the return she jumps up, looking to take Alba down with a flying crossbody. Alba, however, catches Shotzi and holds on, before heaving her into the air and bringing her down to the mat with a fallaway slam! Shotzi yelps in pain as she hits the canvas, and Alba Fyre turns around and walks over to her downed opponent, delivering a couple of stomps to the midsection for payback. Bending down, she goes to grab Shotzi by the hair but Blackheart surprises her with a small package pin! 1…2…kick out by Fyre! Both women are on their feet now, and they each hit the ropes and when they come back, they knock each other down with a double clothesline!
MICHAEL COLE: They just took each other out with that one!
WADE BARRETT: I don’t think we’ve seen Alba be so evenly matched before!
The two ladies slowly stir, each rolling over and getting up onto their hands and knees. After a moment, they’re both up to their feet and they glare at one another. It’s Alba who makes the first move, kicking Shotzi in the previously injured knee! The Ballsy Badass cries out as she drops down to one knee, and Alba Fyre grabs Shotzi’s head, putting it under her arm and then driving it into the mat with a DDT! As the crowd pelts her with boos, Alba gets up and walks over to the ropes, stepping out onto the apron and walking over to the turnbuckles. Climbing to the top, Alba sizes Shotzi up before leaping off and flipping over, looking for a swanton bomb, but Shotzi rolls out of the way, causing Fyre to crash into the mat!
MICHAEL COLE: Nobody home for the swanton bomb!
WADE BARRETT: It’s a high risk move for a reason, unfortunately for Alba, the risk didn’t pay off!
As Alba clutches at her back in pain, Shotzi gets to her feet and walks around for a minute, shaking the remaining pain out of her knee. As Alba gets to her feet, Shotzi charges at her and jumps up, nailing Fyre in the head with a step up enziguri that stuns The Hardcore Daredevil and causes her to stumble back into the ropes! Shotzi pulls Alba away from the ropes and grabs her around the head, running towards the ropes and jumping up onto them, launching off to turn around and drive Alba’s face into the mat with a springboard bulldog! Shotzi goes for the cover and hooks the leg, 1…2…kick out by Alba Fyre!
MICHAEL COLE: I thought Shotzi had it won there!
WADE BARRETT: You have to remember just how powerful Alba Fyre is, Cole, she’s not going to go down without a fight!
Shotzi looks frustrated that she wasn’t able to put Alba away, but she quickly gets to her feet and grabs Alba by the hair, pulling her up to her feet as well. Positioning herself behind Fyre, Shotzi hooks her arms before lifting her up and driving her into the mat with a Tiger Suplex! Quickly, Shotzi scrambles into the pinning position once again, hooking the leg, 1…2…THRNO!! Alba kicks out once again! Shotzi screams in frustration as she rests on her knees for a moment, before getting to her feet. She hits the ropes and comes charging back at Alba, but The Hardcore Daredevil is quick to get to her feet and nails the returning Shotzi with a spear! Sensing the shift in momentum, Alba quickly and confidently goes for the pin, 1…2…THRENOOO! Shotzi kicks out!
MICHAEL COLE: This has been an absolute back and forth battle, these ladies have me on the edge of my seat!
WADE BARRETT: It really could go either way at this point, Cole!
Now it’s Alba who looks frustrated as she looks down at Shotzi with a look of pure disdain. Getting to her feet, she signals to the crowd that this is about to be over as they pelt her with loud boos. Reaching down, she grabs Shotzi by the hair and lifts her up, throwing Shotzi’s head between her legs as she then lifts her up and over onto her back, looking to hit the Gory Bomb. However, Shotzi slides down to her feet, and while hanging onto Alba’s arms she drops to her knees and lifts The Hardcore Daredevil up so that she slides down and her shoulders hit the mat with a backslide pin! 1…2…3!! Shotzi Blackheart gets the win!
WINNER
SHOTZI BLACKHEART
05:22 via PINFALL
SAMANTHA IRVIN: Here is your winner, The Ballsy Badass, SHOOOTZIII BLAAACKHEARRRT!
MICHAEL COLE: Shotzi did it! Shotzi did it! She just pinned Alba Fyre!
WADE BARRETT: I’m absolutely stunned right now, Cole, Alba Fyre has just suffered her first loss in the new era!
”Ball Pit” begins to play on the speakers again and the crowd jumps up with a collective roar as Shotzi rolls out of the ring, resting against the barricade as a look of disbelief is on her face as she realizes what’s just happened. As the referee comes out of the ring to raise her arm in the air, the look of disbelief changes to a smile as she raises her arms triumphantly to the cheers of the crowd. Alba Fyre is to her feet now, absolutely livid at what has just transpired. She looks around to see Shotzi has hurried over to the ramp and is already making her way up to the back. Gritting her teeth, Alba grips the top rope as she yells out to Shotzi that this is not over. Shotzi just laughs and shrugs as she once again raises her arms in the air, basking in the adulation from the crowd before turning and making her way up the rest of the ramp to the back, leaving Alba Fyre standing in the ring shaking with anger.
The camera goes backstage, where we see Bron Breakker walking down a hallway backstage with a backpack slung over his shoulder. He’s wearing street clothes and is looking distinctly frustrated as he passes by different backstage staff, who all seem to give him a bit of a wide berth.
MICHAEL COLE: Well folks, two weeks ago on RAW and Heat, we saw this man making his first in-ring appearance one the main roster on Heat, and then his first comments to the WWE Universe the next night on RAW.
WADE BARRETT: It seems like the former terror of NXT has a bit of a chip on his shoulder to me. I can’t blame him for being worried about being lost in the shuffle, though. Everyone is looking for glory in the new era, and Bron Breakker isn’t someone who will be satisfied with the mid-card for long.
We see Bron stop outside a door. He looks up at the sign hanging in front of it, and the camera pans to follow his gaze to see “TRIPLE H’S OFFICE” written in large, bold letters with the WWE logo underneath. He looks for a moment like he’s about to barge in, before shaking his head, letting out a grunt, and stepping out of frame. The camera pans back down to where he was standing, and we see a figure standing at an intersection in the hallways; the person is a similar size and build to Breakker, but we can’t make out any of his features. He watches the direction Bron left, before taking a different hallway.
MICHAEL COLE: What was that all about?
WADE BARRETT: I don’t know, and I’m not sure I want to know. Don’t start none and there won’t be none!
The cameras go to the backstage area where we see WWE Co-Owner Stephanie McMahon sitting at her desk. Stephanie smirks as the crowd in St. Paul erupts in boos at the sight of her and after a moment, the crowd dies down, and she begins to speak.
STEPHANIE MCMAHON: Eight days ago we had another monumental Premium Live Event in Unforgiven, which saw Diesel pin Swerve Strickland to become the new WWE Champion. Earlier tonight, we heard from Diesel as he celebrated his historic victory, and he told you all to stay tuned for what comes next. Well, I’m here to tell you one thing that is coming next: Money in the Bank. That’s right, the time-honored tradition is returning this July, emanating from the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada, where we will see eight men and six women competing in ladder matches for their respective Money in the Bank contracts. Starting next week, we will begin having qualifying matches to see who will earn their spots in this career altering match. And, given that he’s now the WWE Champion, I would imagine that Diesel - -
Before Stephanie can finish, she’s interrupted by her office door crashing open. Looking up, her eyes narrow as she sees none other than the Women’s Intercontinental Champion, Becky Lynch, walking up to her desk. Leaning back in her chair, Stephanie crosses her arms in front of her as she fixes Becky with a cold stare.
STEPHANIE MCMAHON: Is there something I can help you with, Becky?
Becky just stares dead at Stephanie, for a second before a wry smirk comes to her face.
BECKY LYNCH: I just wanted to say, you got a hell of a swing on you there, boss...
Becky playfully winces as her fingers graze her jaw, as if she could still feel the impact from Unforgiven.
BECKY LYNCH: I've heard stories about how hard you hit, and...yeah, you do. Honestly, I've been hit with Kendo sticks until my back bled, but that didn't sting as much as last week, and I can tell you enjoyed that.
Becky leans forward as she presses down on the desk with her hands.
BECKY LYNCH: You know, where I come from, we have a way of doing things. Someone talks smack about you; you slap them in the face. Someone slaps you in the face, you break their nose, and if someone breaks your nose...
Becky lets the statement linger in the air.
BECKY LYNCH: The point is, I don't care that you got a fancy desk, I don't care who you're married to, I don't care what your last name is…you screwed up when you picked a fight with me.
Stephanie smirks as she leans in towards Becky.
STEPHANIE MCMAHON: Keep up with your little threats, and you’ll see that I have more weapons in my arsenal than a slap to your face. I tried for weeks with you, Becky, and I decided it was time to make a statement that I’m done trying. If you really want to push me, I have no problems showing you just how done I really am.
BECKY LYNCH: Ohhhh, Mama Steph is mad, I'm so scared, what are you going to do "Billion Dollar Princess" Huh? Ya going to fine me? You're going to send me home? Oh, here's an idea, why don't you send those two stooges Chelsea and Jamie after me again, because that worked out for you great last time. You can pull all the dirty tricks you want, you can beat me down to the ground, but I'll ALWAYS come back, I don't know when to quit, so the way I see it, you have a big stinking problem on your hands, boss.
Stephanie stands up from her desk as she now leans in right in front of Becky’s face.
STEPHANIE MCMAHON: The only one who has a big problem here, is you. I am done with disrespect, Becky. Keep that title real close and keep eyes in the back of your head, because you just never know when I’ll strike and take everything away from you.
Becky scoffs as she leans in closer, just inches from Stephanie’s face.
BECKY LYNCH: You can try...
With a smirk, Becky turns on her heel and storms out of the room, leaving Stephanie to stare daggers in her direction as the cameras go back to ringside.
MICHAEL COLE: I’m not sure that threatening the boss is a smart idea!
WADE BARRETT: Well, nobody ever said Becky was that smart one of the WWE women’s superstars! She’s certainly asking for whatever Steph has to throw her way.
MICHAEL COLE: Becky has managed to handle both Chelsea Green and Jamie Hayter, I’ll give her that much. But there’s a whole slew of women who’d take a chance at the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship!
WADE BARRETT: Not to mention, eager to please the Co-Owner by doing so! Becky is biting off more than she can chew, and eventually she’s going to realize her eyes are bigger than her belly!
MICHAEL COLE: I’ll tell you who else is getting himself into some trouble, Matt Sydal. He issued a challenge for Vampiro this week and I’m not sure that was the smartest move on his part either.
WADE BARRETT: I can’t wait to see Vampiro and Sydal go at it in just a few moments, Cole!
”To the Bone” by Mirel Wagner begins to play as Vampiro makes his way out onto the stage slowly, adjusting his neck from side to side as if to crack his own neck to release the tension in it. As he reaches the rampway flames shoot up from both sides of the stage as his empty stare gives away no emotion.
SAMANTHA IRVIN: The following contest is scheduled for one fall! On his way to the ring, he is The Dark Guide, Vaaampiiiro!
MICHAEL COLE: Guys like Vampiro need to constantly be kept an eye on, you never know what they’re doing in the darkness!
WADE BARRETT: It doesn’t help that every time we see him on camera, he’s either making his violent intentions known or performing those violent intentions!
MICHAEL COLE: You have to remember that Vampiro quite nearly beat Corey Graves a couple weeks back. That’s no small feat with the amount of competition that Graves has been able to put down recently.
WADE BARRETT: Vampiro’s a real threat, and tonight he wants to prove that by putting Sydal down. He’s made it clear that he has no friends and he’s only here to impose his will on every WWE superstar he interacts with!
As Vampiro rounds the corner to go up the steel stairs, he briefly grabs onto the turnbuckle post as the darkened lights in the arena flash for a moment and he’s suddenly in the ring already. He paces around the ring for a moment before looking up at the stage and motioning for his opponent to come out already before slicing his thumb along his neck.
MICHAEL COLE: Apparently Vampiro isn’t willing to wait any longer; he wants Sydal right now!
WADE BARRETT: But is Sydal so eager to step into that ring with him?
Eye in The Sky” by The Alan Parsons Project begins to play as Sydal makes his way onto the stage raising his arms high in the air as if to praise some unseen force. Pointing down towards the ring at Vampiro now, he shakes a finger at him before pointing to his forehead to indicate his third eye is telling him better than to just rush in. Vampiro spits on the floor outside of the ring before ushering him to come on down.
SAMANTHA IRVIN: And his opponent, making his way to the ring, The Dynamic Dynamo, Maaatt Syyydaaal!
MICHAEL COLE: Sydal isn’t taking the bait and it’s probably a smart move!
WADE BARRETT: If he rushed down to the ring, he knows that Vampiro has ill intentions on his mind! Although, you have to imagine he might just be scared to try and match the physicality of the much stronger Vampiro!
As Sydal makes his way up the steel stairs, Vampiro rushes over to the corner and throws a swing at him, but he ducks it. The referee pushes Vampiro back so that Sydal can safely enter the ring. Both men stare daggers at each other as Sydal now realizes just how aggressive he’s going to have to be in order to have a chance at winning this one.
SINGLES MATCH
The bell rings and Vampiro and Sydal immediately lock up, with Vampiro easily backing Sydal into the corner; the referee counts, 1…2…3…4! Vampiro breaks it up and backs off, before he motions for Sydal to try and get the advantage and they lock up, and once again, Vampiro backs Sydal into the corner. As the referee begins his count 1…2…but instead of waiting for the count this time, Vampiro hurls Sydal across the ring with a Biel Throw. Sydal gets back up, holding onto his back, and charges at Vampiro for a wheelbarrow arm drag, but Vampiro blocks it, and spins him around in mid-air with a lariat that lays him flat on his stomach in the center of the ring. Vampiro goes for the pin, 1…2…Sydal kicks out of the pin and rolls it over; however, Vampiro lifts up Sydal’s chin and begins to deliver repeated clubbing blows before rolling Sydal over into a half-cradle pin. 1….2…3! NO! Vampiro lifts Sydal up and presses him against the ropes before he delivers a European uppercut that once again puts Sydal on the canvas. Vampiro then walks around, stomping on each limb Sydal has, and caps it off by stepping on and pressing all his weight down as he walks over Sydal's knee.
MICHAEL COLE: Just brutalizing Sydal here, Wade!
WADE BARRETT: He wants to take out the speed of his opponent, and you can’t blame him, it will give him all the power in this one!
Sydal uses the ropes to get back up but gets nailed with a chop block to the back of the knee from Vampiro. As he struggles to get back up Sydal manages to pull a snapmare off on Vampiro, jumping off the ropes and nailing a springboard DDT. As Sydal rushes and springboards off the ropes again hoping for similar results, he’s caught in mid-air with a headbutt by Vampiro. Vampiro drags Sydal up from the mat with his right hand wrapped tightly around his throat, which leads, of course, to Sydal being lifted into the air before he slips out of the chokeslam attempt by kicking off of Vampiro. Sydal escapes at the peak of the lift and delivers a karate-like chop at the arm of Vampiro on the way down. Sydal gets some speed off the ring ropes, ducks a discus lariat, and springs off the second rope for a cutter, but it's caught and Sydal winds up eating a chokeslam which lands on the knee of Vampiro that makes him clutch at his spine.
MICHAEL COLE: I thought I heard a crack in there when he hit that backbreaker!
WADE BARRETT: Vampiro is taking him apart piece by piece and it’s very cold, and very calculated on his part!
MICHAEL COLE: How much more can Sydal endure though?
The official is now checking that Sydal can compete as Vampiro stalks at a distance and just laughs at Sydal rolling around in pain. Shoving the referee out of the way, Vampiro walks repeatedly back and forth over Sydal's back, standing on the point of impact several times. Pulling his victim towards the ropes Vampiro steps onto his back again and uses the ropes to give extra leverage to exploit the weak point once again as the referee counts while warning Vampiro, 1…2…3…4! The referee is forced to shove Vampiro off his opponent as he issues him a stern warning that he will disqualify him! Sydal shrugs the referee off when he checks on him but walks right into a second backbreaker which Vampiro turns into a submission as he stretches Sydal over his knee. The fans start to get behind Sydal and he manages to kick one of his feet up which smacks Vampiro in the face and frees Sydal with a little use of his flexibility; Sydal turns the wheelbarrow clutch into a sit-out bulldog for Vampiro and then delivers a picture-perfect, calculated tornado DDT. Sydal rushes to hook the leg of Vampiro as the referee even appears to be making an effort to speed up the count; 1…2…3! NO! Vampiro powerfully kicks out of the pinfall as he shoves Sydal off the top of him!
MICHAEL COLE: NO! Sydal almost mercifully ended this one for himself!
WADE BARRETT: Vampiro is nowhere near done, Sydal didn’t stand a chance at getting the pin there!
Sydal heads to the top rope slowly, the wear and tear of the match slowing him down, but still, he leaps off for the crossbody, only for Vampiro to catch Sydal. Sydal is then lifted up in a chicken wing maneuver and he lifts Sydal up from behind holding his arms and drives him face first into the top turnbuckle, turning Sydal's lights out. Vampiro drags the lifeless Sydal to the center of the ring and pins, 1….2! Sydal just barely gets a shoulder off the canvas before the three. Both men get to their feet as it’s obvious at this point that they are both exhausted. Vampiro grows increasingly annoyed as Sydal throws chop after chop, trying to get one last comeback, but there's not much power behind the strikes at this point. A strong headbutt by Vampiro and a snap suplex drive the hope out of the fans in the arena cheering for Sydal. Vampiro now pulls the lifeless Sydal onto his shoulder as he drives him down with the Nail in The Coffin! 1…2….3! Vampiro gets the win!

VAMPIRO

SAMANTHA IRVIN: Here is your winner, The Dark Guide VAAAMPIIIROOO!
MICHAEL COLE: Vampiro making a decisive statement here tonight by using everything in his arsenal to take out Sydal!
WADE BARRETT: And for an old veteran at this point in his career he’s going to have to do that every time to beat younger WWE superstars!
MICHAEL COLE: Sydal was really giving him a run for his money by using his speed and high-flying skills to combat the more grounded power style of Vampiro.
WADE BARRETT: Hats off to both of these men for their efforts!
Vampiro now uses his elbow to shove the face of Sydal to the side as he presses down on Sydal before tossing a hard right elbow into the side of his head. The referee warns Vampiro as he just rolls out of the ring and slices his thumb across his neck again to indicate that Sydal is now officially out. The referee checks on Sydal as Vampiro lifts his own right arm in the air before grasping at his elbow and pulling it back into his chest from the pain of the hard karate-like chop he got earlier when he went for the chokeslam on Sydal. As the crowd rains boos down on him, he snarls angrily at them before turning and heading up the ramp to the back.
As soon as the music hits, there is a huge ovation of mixed reaction. The surprise of a huge name they didn’t expect to see mixed with the memory of who he was last seen with. Eric Bischoff comes out smiling and pointing to the crowd. His charms are infectious even through the camera and the fans are cheering more now.
MICHAEL COLE: Holy cow! I didn’t think we’d be seeing Eric Bischoff out here tonight.
WADE BARRETT: There was huge talk of him being seen backstage at Unforgiven, and it looks like we don’t have to wait long to see what that was all about.
Bischoff gets into the ring, still with a huge smile on his face as he pulls out a microphone from his pocket. As his music fades out, Bischoff looks out at the cheering crowd as he nods his head in acknowledgment at them. After a moment passes by, the crowd begins to quiet down and Bischoff begins to speak.
ERIC BISCHOFF: Saint Paul, Minnesota! For those of you that don’t know, I lived in Minnesota most of my high school life, I got my start in the wrestling business in Minnesota…this state has a very special place in my heart. So, it feels like it is destiny that I come out here in front of you to talk about what the future holds for WWE and where I stand in it all.
The fans are leaning more towards cheering as he’s said all the right things to win over the crowd.
ERIC BISCHOFF: Now, I know we are coming off a big time PLE event. New Champions crowned, hard fought battles, men and women went to war with one another inside this ring. But what I know has been on all of your minds, what has been lighting up the podcast feeds, the dirt sheets, the talk of the internet wrestling community has not been the new Intercontinental Champion, the match of the year candidate in MJF Vs. Jay White, not even the crowning of a new WWE Champion. No, it is the ten seconds yours truly was back on your television screens.
Eric flashes that huge Bischoff smile.
ERIC BISCHOFF: And who could blame you? Because where Eric Bischoff goes, ratings, money, and controversy is sure to follow. But why am I here? I’m here to do what I do best, and that is bring together a faction to change the world of wrestling today. Twenty-eight years ago, my brain child changed the wrestling world forever…a little group called the New World Order. That’s right, as many people want to take credit for the success of that group, I am the one who created the story. I chose the players, and I called the plays to get it going. Then, twelve years ago, I had another brain child known as the Aces & Eights. Now, while so many of you want to talk down about TNA - - and for a lot of it you really should - - that period in 2012 was the most profitable period, and the time when TNA came the closest to ever rivaling this company…thanks to me.
WADE BARRETT: I know the fans may not want to hear it, but so far, I haven’t heard a lie come from Mr. Bischoff’s lips.
MICHAEL COLE: It’s not what he’s saying that gets under people’s skin, it’s how he says it. Eric Bischoff brings condescension to a whole new level!
ERIC BISCHOFF: So what I’ve decided is that this new WWE needs is…well, my genius. I’ve been watching for months now, waiting. Because I’m not an impulsive man, no. I bide my time like a snake in the tall grass getting ready for that right moment to strike…and then I do.
MICHAEL COLE: Referring to himself as a snake in tall grass may be the most honest that I’ve heard him be in decades.
WADE BARRETT: Calm down, Cole, we are witnessing history in front of us. Just sit there and enjoy being in the front row to witness the wrestling world change again!
ERIC BISCHOFF: There have been a few competitors over the last few months who have caught my eye. A few that I feel are a step above in this company and I plan on bringing them together. But as you all know - - or I guess should know if you are on the same level as me when it comes to these things - - a good group needs leadership as it’s foundation. The NWO had the greatest leader this industry has ever known at the helm…Hollywood Hulk Hogan.
The fans boo at the mention of Hogan in his Hollywood role, but the smile stays plastered across Bischoff’s face.
ERIC BISCHOFF: Now come on, we all know those boos are about nothing more than jealousy. He pulled one over on the entire wrestling world and no one has gotten over it because he made you all look like fools. And then we had Bully Ray, a leader for a new generation with Aces & Eights. The leader sets the tone for a group, he sets the standard that the rest must meet. And unless you’ve been under a rock since Unforgiven, unless you’ve had a total wrestling media blackout in your life, then I believe you know exactly the man I’ve chosen to be that leader, to set that tone, to change the wrestling world here in the biggest company in this industry.
The music plays and the fans rain boos down as Corey Graves struts out to the middle of the entrance way with a little extra confidence. At his side is Carmella, who waves off the boos from the people, because what they think just doesn’t matter. They begin to strut to the ring, Graves not paying attention to the fans, but Carmella is going back and forth with a few.
MICHAEL COLE: Corey Graves was rather upset he was left off the Unforgiven card. He made it known and it sounds like he’s the man that reached out to Eric Bischoff to get these wheels in motion.
WADE BARRETT: First, Corey Graves has every right to be upset, he is on a streak of defeating, as he puts it, generational talent after generational talent. He was left off that card because of politics and being the smartest guy in the room, he thought to recruit the master of wrestling politics by his side.
MICHAEL COLE: He brought in a cancer that destroys wrestling companies.
WADE BARRETT: After he makes them a ton of money. Bischoff said he was looking to come in, Corey Graves just opened the door for him.
The music begins to die down as Graves and Carmella make it into the ring and Bischoff gives them each a hug.
ERIC BISCHOFF: The man you see before you had a decade stolen from his career. He fought tooth and nail, pushed his body beyond what medical science deemed possible to get back into this ring in front of all of you. He did that all while also becoming the voice of this generation behind that prison you call a commentary desk.
MICHAEL COLE: Corey Graves was a pretty good color commentator, but I wouldn’t say a voice of this generation.
WADE BARRETT: I know I wouldn’t be as good as I am if Corey hadn’t taken me under his wing.
ERIC BISCHOFF: But when he came back, the bodies began to fall…Charlie Dempsey, Austin Creed, Vampiro, Okada…THE ROCK. One after the other, victory after victory and still you people are too stupid to see what’s in front of you. Even more sickening is the brain trust in the back who overlooks him. I guess Stephanie, the rotten apple, must’ve fallen very far from the tree, because this opportunity would’ve never been missed if the better McMahon was still at the head of the company.
WADE BARRETT: As smart a man as Eric Bischoff is, he is venturing onto very thin ice here.
MICHAEL COLE: I think he should reel himself in before he has the shortest stay in WWE history.
ERIC BISCHOFF: It doesn’t matter because at Unforgiven, I walked into that office and I…we…walked out with everything we wanted. I put management on notice that I will be around, acquiring the talent I see fit. And in doing that, I have decided that I don’t miss opportunities that are right in front of me. So, Mrs. Graves…Carmella, you are officially on the women’s wrestling roster…because Mella has always been money and I don’t let money go.
Carmella takes an opportunity to do a little posing as the fans rain boos down on her.
MICHAEL COLE: I hope Carmella is ready to be dropped in one of the most competitive women’s division wrestling has ever known.
WADE BARRETT: Carmella becoming a competitor MAKES this the most competitive women’s division wrestling has ever known.
ERIC BISCHOFF: And with both of these top tier talents now as active wrestlers, I will also announce they are both going to be competing for spots in their respective Money in The Bank matches. So, July 14th, you are looking at the official Money in The Bank couple because we are going to have both briefcases, this is what a powerbase looks like boys and girls. And we are just getting started. You people out there, just wait because it’s getting good. And to everyone in the back, I’ll be watching so I suggest you do your best to impress. Because if you’ve learned anything from the 30 years of me being a leader of men, it’s way better to be with me than against me.
With that, Eric’s music begins to play again as he drops the microphone and begins to walk to the back with Graves and Carmella right behind him.
WADE BARRETT: We have just witnessed Cole, the big bang to the newest dominant force in wrestling.
MICHAEL COLE: The locker room has been put on notice. Impress and join…or be destroyed. I hate to think Eric Bischoff is right, but history is on his side. Maybe not running a company but running a faction he can be a very dangerous man. But folks we’ll have to just wait and see what exactly Bischoff has in store for us, in the meantime we need to get ready for our next match! The women’s division continues to grow as both the legendary Velvet Sky and indie sensation Britt Baker make their WWE debuts here tonight on RAW!
”Turn Up the Radio” by Autograph begins to play on the speakers and the crowd buzzes curiously as they don’t really know who to expect. The answer is clear as Britt Baker makes her way out to the top of the ramp, smiling for the crowd that doesn’t really know how to react quite yet, as she strikes a pose before making her way down the ramp.
SAMANTHA IRVIN: The following contest is scheduled for one fall! Making her way to the ring, Dr. Briiitt Baaakerrr!
MICHAEL COLE: I think this is the first time we’ve ever had a doctor in the WWE, Wade!
WADE BARRETT: Have you forgotten about the great dentist Isaac Yankem?
MICHAEL COLE: I think we’d all like to forget about that.
Britt looks a little sheepish at the introduction as she can be seen saying “just call me Britt!” as she makes her way to the bottom of the ramp. Walking over to the steel steps, she walks up to the apron with an excited bounce in her step, entering the ring and going to the center where she raises her arms in the air, smiling at the fans who still don’t quite know how to react, though some give her some polite applause. Taking off her coat, she hands it off to the ringside attendant and as her music fades out, she takes a deep breath as she turns her attention to the entrance area. “Angel on My Shoulder” by Dale Sullivan begins to play on the speakers now and the crowd now erupts into loud boos as Velvet Sky makes her way to the top of the ramp. Looking out at the crowd with her hands on her hips, Velvet Sky rolls her eyes before making her way down to the ring, her nose in the air as she ignores the booing fans.
SAMANTHA IRVIN: And her opponent, making her way to the ring, A Beautiful Person, Veeelveeet Skyyy!
MICHAEL COLE: It’s hard to believe that after such a storied career in this business, that this is Velvet Sky’s first match in a WWE ring!
WADE BARRETT: Better late than never is what I always say, Cole! Our women’s division has been hot since Stephanie and Triple H took over, and with Velvet Sky here it’s only gotten hotter!
Reaching the bottom of the ramp, Velvet Sky looks at Britt waiting for her in the ring and wrinkles her nose in disgust as she sashays over to the steel steps, slinking up to the apron and entering the ring. Before she fully enters the ring, though, she pauses as she rubs her backside against the ropes, causing some of the male fans to hoot and holler with cheers, while Britt just rolls her eyes and motions for her to get into the ring already. Rolling her eyes back at Britt, Velvet gets into the ring and walks right over to Britt, shoving her down to the mat as her music comes to an abrupt halt.
SINGLES MATCH
The bell rings and Britt’s mouth drops open in shock as Velvet has just shoved her down to the mat. As she starts to get up, Velvet slaps her across the face, causing the audience to “oooh” at the disrespect being shown. Britt shakes it off and goes to get up again but Velvet strikes her with another slap! Britt grits her teeth in frustration now, and she sweeps Velvet Sky’s feet out from under her, bringing The Beautiful One crashing down to the canvas! The crowd is now starting to cheer a little bit as Baker mounts Sky, nailing her with a forearm to the face, and then another, and then another! Standing up, Britt picks Velvet Sky up as well and whips her into the ropes, and when Velvet Sky comes back, Britt takes her down to the mat with a hip toss! As Velvet Sky rolls on the mat in pain, she gets up to her knees only to be met with a stiff kick across the upper torso from Baker! And another, and another! Britt is unleashing on Velvet Sky with the barrage of kicks that she calls Britt Kicks!
MICHAEL COLE: Britt Baker is really taking it to Velvet Sky here, Wade!
WADE BARRETT: She better enjoy it while she can because I’m sure Velvet Sky has a trick or two up her sleeve!
Velvet Sky wobbles around woozily after the kicks, and Britt hits the ropes, but as she comes back, Velvet Sky manages to gather herself enough to strike Baker in the midsection, halting her in her tracks! As Baker clutches at her abdomen, Velvet Sky gets to her feet, kicking Britt in the midsection once again, causing her to double over even more. Grabbing Britt by the hair, she screams in her face that Britt will never be as pretty as her before kicking her in the midsection again and turning around, grabbing her head, and bringing her down to the mat with the #1 Stunna! With a cocky smirk, Velvet goes for the pin, hooking the leg, 1…2…kick out by Britt Baker!
MICHAEL COLE: Velvet Sky thought she was going to end it early here, but Britt Baker has other ideas in mind!
WADE BARRETT: She should have stayed down, Cole, a rookie like her doesn’t stand a chance against a seasoned veteran like Velvet Sky!
Velvet Sky shoots a dirty look at the referee as she gets to her feet, and she grabs Britt’s leg, turning her over and locking her into a single leg Boston crab! Britt screams in pain as Velvet locks the hold in tight, crawling her way to the ropes. She’s almost there when suddenly, Velvet Sky drags her back to the center of the ring and sits lower into the hold! Britt continues screaming, struggling to get to the ropes once more. The fans in attendance start rallying behind the struggling Baker, clapping rhythmically to encourage her on as she desperately claws to the ropes. After what feels like an eternity, Britt is finally close enough to reach out and grab the bottom rope to force a break! However, Velvet Sky isn’t releasing the hold which causes the referee to begin his count, 1…2…3…4…Velvet Sky then releases the hold, standing up and putting up her hands defensively as the referee admonishes her for her actions. She makes her way over to where Britt is laying on the mat, but as she approaches her, Baker takes her down with a drop toe hold that sends her crashing throat first into the ropes!
MICHAEL COLE: Britt Baker may have turned the tables back in her favor!
WADE BARRETT: If she was smart, she would have tapped out when she had the chance!
Britt takes a minute to catch her breath before getting to her feet. Going over to Velvet Sky, who is gasping for breath after being dropped across the ropes, Britt picks her up and whips her into the opposite ropes. When Sky comes back, Britt looks for a clothesline but it’s ducked as Velvet Sky goes over to the opposite side of the ropes. As she comes back, she looks for a clothesline attempt of her own but Britt ducks underneath it and quickly turns around, nailing Velvet Sky with a superkick! As Velvet Sky drops to the mat, Britt goes for the pin and hooks the leg, 1…2…THRNOOO! Velvet Sky just barely kicks out! Britt cries out in disappointment as she gets to her feet and walks over to the corner, turning around and locking her gaze on Velvet Sky. As Velvet starts to stir, she gets up on all fours and as she does, Britt comes charging in, jumping up and bringing her foot down to drive Velvet Sky’s head back into the canvas with The Stomp!

SAMANTHA IRVIN: Here is your winner, DOCTOR BRIIITT BAAAKERRR!
MICHAEL COLE: Britt Baker with an impressive debut here tonight on Monday Night RAW!
WADE BARRETT: Beginner’s luck, Cole! No chance she’ll be able to keep this up as she goes against some of the other members of the women’s division like Alba Fyre or Dakota Kai!
MICHAEL COLE: We’ll just have to wait and see, Wade, but for tonight, she’s victorious and she seems to have impressed the WWE Universe a bit!
”Turn Up the Radio” begins playing again and as Britt gets to her feet and has her hand raised in the air by the referee, the crowd cheers for her a little bit, applauding her efforts against the devious Velvet Sky. With a big smile plastered on her face, Britt raises her other arm up as well, giving a triumphant double fist pump as the referee goes to check on the downed Velvet Sky. Going over to the ropes, Britt rolls under the bottom rope to the floor, smiling and waving at the fans as she begins to make her way up the ramp and the cameras fade out to commercial.
Commercial break? No gracias. The TitanTron comes to life, revealing an intense MMA cage fight. It mainly focuses on the crowd, roaring as a flurry of punches and kicks are heard, showcasing in sound the raw power and precision of the no-faced athletes. The camera zooms out and quickly heads into the fight, into the ring, as dashes of pink and blue spotlights shade over the scene.
