Monday Night RAW 6-17-2024

As we come back from commercial break, we go to the backstage area where Maxwell Jacob Friedman wraps the wrist tape around and around as Chelsea Green watches him, she paces back and forth as Matt Cardona enters camera view and slaps Max on the shoulder with a smile on his face.

MATT CARDONA: You about ready, bro?

Maxwell finally takes his focus from his preparation to his partners for the evening, an almost sinister grin appears across his face as he begins to speak.

MAXWELL JACOB FRIEDMAN: I’ve been ready for this since that orator as he likes to call himself decided to put his hands on me last week. I’m going to show him why maybe he should stick to talking instead of getting physical with one of the most dangerous professional wrestlers in this company. Tonight, I’m going to make Pat McAfee regret ever even stepping foot into our world.

MATT CARDONA: Hell yeah! And Jay White is going to realize that he doesn’t have what it takes to hang with us, either.

MAXWELL JACOB FRIEDMAN: Nobody does, Matt. Not a single one of these so-called “superstars.” Pathetic, and now that we’ve paired up, it’s not just the singles division that needs to worry. After tonight, the tag team division should put itself on notice! These Long Island boys are going to beat the hell out of anyone who steps in their path from now on!

MATT CARDONA: You’re damn right, bro! Notice how the WWE Tag Team Champions aren’t here tonight? Even they know we’re the best team in this entire company and they’re too afraid to face us!

Max scrunches up his nose for a moment at the mere mention of the current WWE Tag Team Champions as if it’s left a sour stench in the area.

MAXWELL JACOB FRIEDMAN: Imagine CM Punk seriously labeling Stevie Richards and himself as “The Best Tag Team In The World”. As if he doesn’t realize who his own partner is, the last time Stevie Richards was even a talking point was when he walked around in a five dollar suit and tie trying to censor the WWE programming. A job that should’ve been easy with the assortment of men and women that he gathered to him, but he somehow managed to screw up each and every single one of their careers including his own.

MATT CARDONA: They’re just a couple of washed up losers, they’ll never stand a chance against two studs in their prime like we are! Plus, CM Punk is too whipped by his wife to worry about anything else. I heard he spent the whole weekend doing mushy crap for their anniversary. Talk about nauseating.

Chelsea narrows her eyes.

CHELSEA GREEN: Why is that nauseating, Matt?

MATT CARDONA: Er…it’s not, babe, Punk is just a big dork, that’s all. But after we beat those Bullet Club jabronis tonight, they’re going to be put on notice that the hottest new tag team is coming for those titles.

Max puts a hand on Cardona’s shoulder.

MAXWELL JACOB FRIEDMAN: Think about it Chels, do you really think Punk and AJ doing cutesy stuff isn’t nauseating? I mean, some of us have matured as we grow older and those two probably still play footsie for a good time. It’s pathetic, just like we’re going to make their second tag team title reign look when we get our hands on them. Besides, Matt here, he’s got a huge plan to celebrate after we win tonight and it’ll be totally romantic..

He now slaps his other hand against Matt’s chest as he finishes speaking.

MAXWELL JACOB FRIEDMAN: Isn’t that right, bro?

Matt looks at Max with a furrowed brow, but Max just gives him “a look” and he turns back to Chelsea with a smile.

MATT CARDONA: Uh, yeah, babe, it’s going to be totally romantic. You’ll love it!

Chelsea doesn’t look convinced by this.

CHELSEA GREEN: Uh huh…

MATT CARDONA: Anyway, enough talk, we’ve got a match to win! Let’s go out there and show Bullet Club Red who the dominant team in WWE really is!

MAXWELL JACOB FRIEDMAN: Long Island boys, Strong Island boys baby! Let’s tear these idiots apart so bad, they really can claim to be red by the time we’re done!

Max holds up his fist for a bump as Matt bumps him up with his own. The cameras now move back to the announce desk as Michael Cole and Wade Barrett begin to speak.

MICHAEL COLE: It looks like this six-man tag team match might have more implications than just putting their feud with Bullet Club Red to bed!

WADE BARRETT: Maxwell and Matt as a tag team? Facing off against the current WWE Tag Team Champions? That can’t happen soon enough for me, Cole!

MICHAEL COLE: It will certainly be interesting to see how they are developing as their own unit here tonight, Wade! Chelsea Green might be the only one worried about facing off against them and for good reason because Serena Deeb is an assassin in that ring!

”Dig Deep” by RW Smith hits the sound system of the arena as a confident and all-smiles Maxwell Jacob Friedman struts his way out to the top of the stage. Spreading his arms out to the side as he goads the crowd on, they very loudly disapprove of his arrival. Maxwell, however, just eats up the attention as he points to the entrance behind him right as “When The Lights Go Down” by Downstait begins to play and an equally as confident Matt Cardona makes his way out onto the stage. The two fist bump each other before going in for the bro hug, and both grin. However, Friedman waves a finger at the fans as they boo and proceeds to motion towards the stage one last time as “Hot Mess” by Def Rebel begins to play and Chelsea Green makes her way to the stage all dolled up and ready for action. She gives a cute little tip of the hat to her boys as she confidently strides between them and places a hand on each of their shoulders, and they pose before heading down to the ring.



SAMANTHA IRVIN: The following contest is a six-man mixed tag team match; making their way to the ring, they claim to be better than you and you know it; the team of Maxwell Jacob Frieeedman, Matt Caaardona, and Chelseeeaaa Greeeeen!

MICHAEL COLE: These three have been plotting and planning on the ways they are going to defeat their opponents in Bullet Club Red tonight for some time. As separate superstars their luck didn’t pan out as well as they’d hoped, so tonight they're hoping to finally get the job done with a victory to prove they’re better!

WADE BARRETT: I like their chances, Cole, they’ve only been getting better as a unit. The three of them seem to have this instant chemistry that has really been working in their favor. I’m looking forward to this one and I think we’re about to have one of the greatest matches on Monday Night RAW of all time between these two groups!

”Switchblade” hits over the P/A system of the arena as the crowd pops hugely for the arrival of Bullet Club Red. Pat McAfee is the first to dance his way out onto the stage as he plays hype man and amps the crowd up by waving his arms and telling them to get even louder. Serena Deeb is next out as she confidently walks her way out and eats up the approval of the crowd, straightening out her ring robe. Jay White comes out next, and the crowd absolutely explodes with cheers for him as he comes out with the finger guns, slaps McAfee on the back, and shakes him up a bit to check if he’s ready for this, to which he nods. Deeb and White look towards one another and just give a nod to each other before they all head down the rampway towards their opponents. Friedman and Cardona flip them off as they come down the rampway as Chelsea tries to avoid making any direct eye contact with Serena Deeb.



SAMANTHA IRVIN: And their opponents, from Bullet Club Red; the team of Pat McAfeeee, Sereeena Deeeeb, and Jaaay Whiiite!

MICHAEL COLE: Bullet Club Red could really put the final nail in the coffin tonight if they win this one. You have to imagine that they’re all looking forward to a little retribution for the things that Cardona, Green, and Friedman have done to them over the past couple of months.

WADE BARRETT: Let’s be real here, Cole, all the members of Bullet Club Red would’ve done the same to them if given the opportunity. They can play the goody two shoes to the camera all they want, each of them has their own checkered pasts. Nobody in this match is innocent and tonight we’re going to find out who the better faction is one way or another!

As all six competitors are in the ring and in their corners, the teams begin to converse amongst themselves. Maxwell slaps himself on both shoulders as he points over at McAfee, and Cardona nods at him. McAfee notices this though and pokes himself in the chest, and it looks like we’ve got the answer for who will be starting this match off. All the partners exit the ring as the bell rings, and McAfee and Maxwell look to be ready to start this one off. After the interference last week by both of them, this is sure to be an explosive start.

The match starts with Maxwell and McAfee from their respective teams as they embark upon a period of chain wrestling which gets applause from the Billings crowd. Friedman reverses a hammerlock but McAfee takes him down with a nice arm drag only for Friedman to hop right back up and take McAfee down with an on-the-button dropkick to the face. The crowd boos as Chelsea applauds on the apron and Maxwell signals that his team will win tonight. Friedman Irish whips McAfee into the turnbuckle and delivers several shotgun chops before taking Pat McAfee down with a nice RELEASE FISHERMAN'S SUPLEX! Friedman realizes he has some early momentum and drags the body of McAfee to his corner as he tags in Matt Cardona which gets a loud display of disapproval from the WWE Universe. The Long Island native sees that Friedman has connected with an ATOMIC DROP as he delivers a BIG BOOT and goes for the first cover of the match; 1... 2... KICKOUT!

MICHAEL COLE: Cardona hoping to put this away in the early goings but it’s just not enough to put away McAfee!

WADE BARRETT: McAfee may not look like much as a competitor but he’s got resiliency like you wouldn’t believe, Cole!

Cardona continues building momentum for his team as the newly formed team between he and MJF are well on top in the early going. He delivers more chops to McAfee as his chest starts to turn a dark shade of red with the impact he has endured. Cardona smiles as he hoists McAfee over his shoulder and drops him with a SHOULDER BREAKER! We don’t often see that move nowadays but it certainly does the job as McAfee writhes around in pain as he holds his shoulder and chest and is in real trouble. Jay White and Serena Deeb look on, concerned from the side as the Billings crowd are enjoying what they’re witnessing so far in this contest. Cardona gets McAfee to his feet once more and puts him over his shoulder as he looks for a ROUGH RYDER early. McAfee finally gets some offense in, though, as he ducks underneath and CHOP BLOCKS Cardona who holds the back of his knee in agony.

MICHAEL COLE: I’d call that underhanded but this is a wrestling match, Wade!

WADE BARRETT: McAfee needs to do whatever he can to get back to his corner! If Cardona and Friedman continue to isolate him this one will be over before his team members even have a chance to get in the ring! It was his only option, Cole!

McAfee quickly leaps and tags Jay White in as everything changes in the match and Bullet Club Red are suddenly in control of this contest. Jay White clubs away repeatedly at Cardona until he is left prone on the mat. White stomps away at Matt Cardona as he lifts him and launches him with a beautiful SNAP SUPLEX and bridges; 1…2…KICK OUT! Cardona won’t be beaten that easily and White realizes it as he Irish whips the big man into his turnbuckle. White shows some incredible strength as he gets Cardona in position and REVERSE ALABAMA SLAM! McAfee made the tag before Jay delivered the move and Pat McAfee follows it up by driving all of his weight across the sternum of Cardona with his trademark FLYING SPLASH! McAfee gets Cardona to his feet and Irish whips him back towards his corner. McAfee hammers away until the referee reaches a four count and admonishes him.

MICHAEL COLE: I’m not sure how wise it was for McAfee to tag himself back into this thing so soon.

WADE BARRETT: He’s really trying to get an opportunity to land that moonsault he wants so much! I heard him backstage saying that it was his goal to get in just one moonsault before it’s over.

The Bullet Club Red member takes a step back with the referee in front of him and the cunning positioning allows Jay White and Serena Deeb to both get involved as White holds Cardona and Deeb CLOTHESLINES him hard to the mat as the crowd give Bullet Club Red a loud pop at seeing Cardona womanhandled. The referee warns them that this isn’t intergender and says it’ll be the last time he allows a deliberate move like that and McAfee is quick to tag Jay White back into the match. The Switchblade, White of Bullet Club Red locks in a big ABDOMINAL STRETCH on Cardona as the pace of the match slows significantly and the crowd gets even more invested. White starts slapping away at the midriff while Cardona is in the hold and he looks to be in agony. The crowd are fully behind White, Cardona has the support of Chelsea though as she bangs on the turnbuckle repeatedly to try and motivate her man, all this and she still has the energy to yell at the crowd for their lack of brains! Cardona manages to elbow his way out and uses all he has left to drop Jay with a SWINGING NECKBREAKER!

MICHAEL COLE: All of these men have really taken some punishment in this match, Wade!

WADE BARRETT: There’s a lot of pride on the line here, Cole! Friedman and Cardona don’t like how things ended in their previous encounters. This is their opportunity to take away a much needed victory.

MICHAEL COLE: But how much will any of them have left if this punishment continues for much longer?

Both men are down as the volume of the crowd increases to yet another level and Cardona slowly crawls towards his corner and makes the tag to the fresh Maxwell! White does the same to McAfee who is immediately taken out with a Cradle DDT which spikes him. Maxwell runs and delivers a dropkick to White who drops to the floor from the ring apron. Friedman hasn’t forgotten Serena Deeb’s involvement either as he runs and takes The Assassin out with a Topé Cutter! Maxwell is on fire and the crowd boos loudly for him and it has never been clearer they want to see the Long Island boys lose tonight. Friedman connects with a kick to the gut, drops down for the throat thrust, and nails an American Dream inspired elbow to the back of McAfee’s dome as he pops back up to his feet! Friedman taunts and gets more heat from the crowd as he climbs to the top rope. Maxwell jumps and there it is! He’s on McAfee’s shoulders from behind and drops back with a POISONRANA to McAfee which actually does surprisingly pop the crowd for him and this could be it. 1……… 2……… Jay White is back in and breaks up the pin attempt.

WADE BARRETT: Have you seen the moves that Friedman has been pulling out of his repertoire! He’s putting on an instant classic of a match here, Cole! If Jay White hadn't broken up that pin, this one would be over!

MICHAEL COLE: I think all of these men are Wade, none of them are known to enjoy being on the losing end of things! White and even McAfee would like to be able to avenge those kicks to the groin a few weeks back! Beating Friedman and Cardona here would go a long way in healing those scars that were left from Dick Kick City!

Things break down as Matt Cardona comes in and meets the White as the two hammer away at each other. Cardona clotheslines White to the outside and the two continue their brawl. Cardona looks to Irish whip White but it is reversed and Cardona goes crashing hard into the barricade wall. White isn’t done there as he lifts Cardona to his feet and drops him on the floor with the BLADERUNNER! Maxwell has realized what is going on back in the ring and unbeknown to Jay he has climbed to the top rope. White turns around and Serena Deeb is back to her feet next to him, but they are both taken down with a mega CROSSBODY from the top rope to the outside!! The crowd goes into a frenzy at what they have just witnessed. Friedman is back to his feet quickly and into the ring as he knows he needs to keep well on top of McAfee if he wants to win this one.

WADE BARRETT: Friedman is really putting in some work here, one second he’s in the ring, the next second he’s out of the ring. He’s really determined to finally be able to lord a victory over Jay White and Pat McAfee!

MICHAEL COLE: His focus needs to be unwavering though, all these distractions that he’s taking part in could cost him in the long run by wearing him out!

Friedman delivers a couple of stiff kicks to McAfee and thinks about what he needs to do next. He gets the veteran to his feet and manages to place him in the seated position on the top rope in his corner as everyone on the outside begins to come round and make their way back to their respective places on the apron. Maxwell looks at McAfee and in an incredible show of athleticism he takes Bullet Club Red superstar down with a FRANKENSTEINER! What a move from Maxwell as he hooks both legs. We could have a tremendous victory right here! 1… 2…McAfee gets the shoulder up! Friedman cannot believe it, but Chelsea quickly directs him from the outside to stay focused and he follows instructions as he holds McAfee’s legs and looks for the Boston Crab. Friedman tries to turn him over but McAfee knows he must avoid and quickly scurries to grab the ropes and prevent the submission from being applied. Friedman releases McAfee’s body and tags in Matt Cardona as he has been in the match and expended a lot of energy in the last few minutes. Cardona comes in and immediately puts McAfee down with a SAVING GRACE! Pat McAfee looks like he’s out of it on the canvas but Serena Deeb gets up on the apron to distract Cardona which in turn allows Jay White to get in the ring and take out Cardona with a SLINGBLADE! Once again everyone is down in the ring as White and Friedman are willing their teammates on and there is a sense we are moving towards the culmination of this match. Cardona makes the tag to Friedman at the same time McAfee reaches White and we have a clash of styles with the more technical MJF going up against the power and speed of Bullet Club Red’s blue chipper.

WADE BARRETT: Oh the fans are excited to see these two tango again!

MICHAEL COLE: Can you blame them? They had one of the best matches at Unforgiven and nothing but pride was on the line! Now these two are meeting once again and it’s enhanced even more with the inclusion of these factions the two groups have formed!

Maxwell gets the upper hand immediately as he kicks repeatedly to the knee of White and follows that up with a beautiful spinning SITOUT POWERBOMB. Friedman quickly goes to the ring apron and this time takes Jay down with a SPRINGBOARD CUTTER as he goes for a pin; 1…2…White gets the shoulder up! Friedman stays laser-focused on winning the match and calls for Jay to get to his feet as he looks for his trademark SOUTH HAMPTONS PLUNGE. He hooks White up, but White blocks with a kick to Friedman’s face as he lifts him up and breaks out of it as he knocks Friedman loopy with a SPINNING BACK FIST! The shot echoes throughout the arena as the crowd gasps. White looks to end it here and now with the BLADE RUNNER. Friedman has it well scouted though and rolls him up! 1…2…White just barely kicks out! That was so close and Bullet Club Red knows it as White looks very concerned. Sheer carnage is about to take place as McAfee suddenly runs in the ring and goes for Friedman with a clothesline but he ducks underneath and Cardona pulls down the top rope as McAfee crashes and burns. Deeb tries to get in the ring as the referee admonishes her and tries to get her back out as Green gets in the ring and takes down Deeb with a HOT MESS EXPRESS as she follows her to the outside and starts brawling to the best of her ability. While this is all going on, what Maxwell hasn’t realized is that Jay White is back to his feet. The referee is still looking at the commotion between Green and Deeb on the outside as White nails Friedman with a BLADERUNNER!!! White hooks the leg as the referee drops down for the pin; 1…2…3! NO! IT’S A KICK OUT BY FRIEDMAN! Both men are clearly wiped out, as their labored breathing causes them both to crawl towards their respective corners. Green waves him off as she spots Deeb leaning out to accept the tag from White. Serena looks to be frothing at the mouth compared to Green to finally get involved in this match!

MICHAEL COLE: Chelsea Green wants no part of this match! Hahahaha!

WADE BARRETT: The poor woman will be torn apart by The Assassin across the ring!

Green looks for Cardona but he’s still down on the floor outside of the ring, Friedman reaches up and taps her on the shoulder as he falls out of the ring onto the apron utterly exhausted. Chelsea’s eyes are as wide open as a cartoon character as she spots Serena get the tag from Jay White! Green attempts to jump down but the quickness of Deeb grabs her under the arm and tosses her over the ropes and into the ring as she lands on her butt in the middle of the ring. Chelsea screams in pain as she holds onto her lower back while she gets up, and Deeb wraps an arm around her neck and carries her up and over with a Northern Lights Suplex and keeps hold as the referee counts; 1…2…NO! Chelsea gets the shoulder up just before the three, and Deeb just smiles as she rises to her feet and looks at Green like she’s her playtoy. She grabs the arm of Chelsea but Green pulls the hair and manages to roll Deeb up into a pin attempt; 1…2…3! NO! Deeb powers out of the attempt and both women get to their feet quickly, Chelsea ducks a bicycle kick attempt and shoots off the ropes with a dropkick that lands squarely in the middle of Deeb’s chest knocking her back! Deeb grunts with pain and Green realizes she’s not helping her situation here as she runs for the ropes to escape. Deeb grabs her by the back of her tights though as she pulls her in and German Suplex but Green manages to land on her feet as she can’t believe her luck! Friedman and Cardona are finally back on their feet in the corner and Chelsea rushes for the tag but gets grabbed around the waist by Deeb yet again, this time however she manages to get behind Deeb and shoves her forward and Deeb collides headfirst into Cardona. Green rolls Deeb up with a schoolboy pin and MJF drops down to hold Chelsea’s hand to provide extra leverage! The referee doesn’t see it happening; 1…2…3! Chelsea Green has defeated The Assassin!



SAMANTHA IRVIN: The winners of this match, the team of Maxwell Jacob Friedman, Matt Cardona and Chelseeeaaa Greeeeen!

MICHAEL COLE: What a match!

WADE BARRETT: What a team! Somebody give the team of Matt Cardona and Maxwell Jacob Friedman the WWE Tag Team Championships right now!

MICHAEL COLE: What about Chelsea Green? She just pinned our WWE Women’s Champion! Albeit she had assistance that was less than legal.

WADE BARRETT: If the referee doesn’t see it, there’s nothing to talk about, Cole!

White rushes in to check on Deeb, but is blindsided by Friedman who hits him with a boot to the side of the head! Just as he’s laying the boots to White he hears a shout behind him and as he turns to see what’s going on McAfee comes off the top rope and lays Friedman out with a moonsault off the top rope. Pat looks pleased with himself but it’s not for long before Cardona has made his way into the ring and clotheslines McAfee over the top rope and falls out himself. Green sees a struggling Deeb getting to her feet and runs forward and nails a HOT MESS EXPRESS! to the Women’s Champion. Cardona gets picked up by Friedman as they both get back into the ring. Friedman and Cardona take Jay White by the back of the neck and toss him over the top rope and out of the ring. Chelsea now instructs the boys to hold Deeb steady. Both men grab either arm of Serena as Chelsea rears her right hand back and “LoveFuryPassionEnergy” hits the P/A system as Lita comes rushing down the ramp with a steel chair in hand!

She slides into the ring and Cardona gets pushed towards her by Chelsea as he gets nailed with a steel chair to the gut which sends him rolling out of the ring. Lita rushes forward aiming her next swing for Chelsea but MJF takes the blow right between his shoulder blades as Green rushes out of the ring and Friedman rolls out in pain from the hard shot! Lita swings wildly one last time over the ropes as she threatens them and steps back to prepare for any possible attempt to get back in the ring. Chelsea Green is quick to get behind both Cardona and Friedman as quickly as she possibly can! Friedman is being checked on by Chelsea as he looks absolutely pissed and in pain, he raises his partners arms into the air, motioning for Cardona to help him as they lift Chelsea Green onto their shoulders and though surprised at first she relishes the attention! White and McAfee both are making sure that Deeb is okay as she holds her forehead from the unintentional headbutt she had with Cardona, a bruise already forming where the two met, as Lita looks back to make sure that everybody in Bullet Club Red are okay.

MICHAEL COLE: Lita just in time to make the save here for Serena Deeb! That was one hell of a match, but it seems like Friedman, Cardona, Green wanted to not only get the victory but take out each member of Bullet Club Red.

WADE BARRETT: Who can blame them? Bullet Club Red has done everything they can to embarrass them at every turn! Lita had no business being out there, she should’ve let Chelsea finish the job and made life easier for herself come Money in the Bank!

MICHAEL COLE: We both know that would never happen, she’s looking forward to a fair contest for the WWE Women’s Championship and she made sure that she’s going to get it by chasing those hooligans and Chelsea out of the ring! My only concern is did they do enough damage that Serena is going to be able to be one hundred percent for that match with Lita?

WADE BARRETT: You should be more concerned about the match coming up for Cody Rhodes! Killswitch is on a warpath and he’s looking to make a name for himself in The Patriarchy. Those two are about to collide right now and Rhodes doesn’t know what Killswitch has been capable of since he left!

”Fossil Fuel” by Mikey Rukus begins to play over the sound system as the looming presence of Killswitch is felt the moment he steps out in front of the crowd. There’s no attention paid to the fans that are booing him; he’s just laser focused on the deliberate march of war he makes towards the ring. He checks the straps on his harness and shoulder pad to make sure they're tightly secured for the coming action as he marches his way to the ring.



SAMANTHA IRVIN: The following contest is scheduled for one fall, making his way to the ring first, he is a member of The Patriarchy, Killswiiitch!

MICHAEL COLE: Killswitch is a beast, if there was ever a man underneath all that make-up and mask, he’s truly not been one since he stepped into the WWE!

WADE BARRETT: Definitely something of a monster, Cole! WWE is known for its ability to find these larger than life personas, these monsters that hide in the dark, and bring them into the light to compete for glory! Killswitch is looking to make sure he joins the already impressive group of monsters the WWE Universe will never forget!

MICHAEL COLE: Undertaker, Kane, Mankind, that’s only a few of the men you’re talking about Wade. Killswitch, however, seems to want to surpass each and every one of those men. This week he’s hoping to end Cody Rhodes' return before it even begins!

”Kingdom" by Downstait hits the P/A system now though and the fans begin to sing along to the lyrics. Cody Rhodes begins his walk down the rampway as the pyro sparks up behind him when he hits the "WHOA-OH!" with the crowd. Rhodes looks as though he's ready to fulfill his destiny by taking the first step back tonight against Killswitch.



SAMANTHA IRVIN: And his opponent for the evening, The American Nightmare, Cooody Rhooodes!

MICHAEL COLE: Cody has been having a bit of a rough time in the WWE. He’s made several false starts and been injured at a few steps along the way, hopefully tonight he can make up for all that and set himself in the right direction!

WADE BARRETT: As accomplished and skilled as any man is, this business is full of risks! Stepping in between those ropes with an opponent is always a risk, and his choice of opponent tonight is definitely not boding well for his future on this run either!

As he steps onto the apron and off the steel ring stairs he takes a deep breath as he looks into the ring at the maniacally pacing Killswitch. It’s as if watching a hungry animal waiting for the perfect opportunity to pounce on its meal to eat. Rhodes slowly steps between the ropes as he ascends the turnbuckle corner and poses for the fans. As he hops down he can’t help but smile at the roar of the crowd as before getting a look at the monster he’ll be taking on once more and his face goes deadly serious.

The ring bell barely rings as Killswitch charges Cody Rhodes and lifts him up onto his shoulders before he slams Cody into the turnbuckle corner, and Killswitch works at destroying the abdomen of his opponent with shoulder thrusts. Killswitch lifts Rhodes up again, spins him around and runs him straight into the adjacent corner for further punishment. Rhodes looks to be in bad shape but wins the crowd over by kneeing Killswitch in the face on the next shoulder thrust and landing punch after punch. He goes into full brawler mode on Killswitch, rights and lefts flying in succession, before Cody then drops down and hits a throat thrust that Killswitch can't help but be stunned by for a moment. Cody reminds the audience what brought him to the dance as he runs and bounces off the ropes, grabs around the neck of Killswitch and lands his bulldog on Killswitch to try and put Killswitch away. Cody grabs the leg of Killswitch and scoops his arm in for the pinfall to avoid any possible rope breaks, 1, 2, 2.5! NO! It isn't enough, KIllswitch manages to get the shoulder up and Cody springboards off the ropes and catches himself on them and drops back onto his feet in the ring, just as Killswitch rolls out of the ring to deny him, the fans upset at not getting the pleasure of seeing the Cody Cutter!

MICHAEL COLE: Cody looked to be building a head of steam there, but Killswitch spotted the danger he was in!

WADE BARRETT: The younger men under Christian’s tutelage have certainly picked up a few things! Killswitch isn’t going to be so easily defeated!

Cody Rhodes steps through the ropes and jumps down to follow, but gets caught by Killswitch with a grip around his throat and takes a chokeslam right on the edge of the ring apron. The crowd then boos Killswitch as he lifts Rhodes up and hits a sidewalk slam to the floor on the outside of the ring. Killswitch now rips up the padding before he picks Cody up and uses a body slam to work over Cody’'s back! WHAM! The impact of Rhodes’ flesh on solid concrete echoes through the arena as the fans gasp in empathetic pain! Killswitch isn't done yet; however, as he scoops Cody up, Rhodes slips out, escapes a second body slam attempt, and hits a reverse bulldog on Killswitch, which sets him up as he jumps onto the apron and leaps back, nailing a Cody Cutter to Killswitch on the exposed concrete, and the crowd cheers him on!

MICHAEL COLE: CODY CUTTER! CODY CUTTER!

WADE BARRETT: He needs to get him into the ring first and pin him, Cole! Don’t get too excited over nothing!

Cody struggles with Killswitch but eventually shoves him into the ring. He makes the cover, 1...2, but Killswitch kicks out of the pin! Cody Rhodes flips him around as he tries to get up into an Oklahoma roll-up, 1...2…but, yet again, Killswitch powers out! Cody wraps his arms around the waist of Killswitch as he gets up and pushes him into the ropes, but Killswitch holds the ropes tightly to avoid an O'Connor roll by Cody Rhodes before he spins around and nails Rhodes with a high knee as he rolls to his feet. Cody goes neck first into the ring ropes, but it's not over there. Killswitch grabs both of Cody's legs and catapults Rhodes neck first into the bottom rope! Cody grabs at his neck as he rolls out of the ring to catch his breath, it appears. The crowd boos Killswitch, but he follows Cody outside and grabs him by the back of the neck and launches him into the ring post head first. Still not content with his work, Killswitch whips him into the steel steps, and Rhodes crashes into them like a speeding car and knocks the steps apart. CLANG!

MICHAEL COLE: Well that can’t be good for your health long-term?!

WADE BARRETT: He’s opened something up inside of Killswitch here tonight! The big man is obviously very upset with Cody getting in any sort of offense!

The referee warns Killswitch to bring Cody back into the ring as he simply waves him off. 1….2….3, Killswitch lifts Cody by the back of his neck and tosses him down hard into the steel steps again with a loud clang as his head bounces off of them! 4….5…6, Killswitch picks Cody up and tosses him towards the ring as he bounces off the ring post shoulder first. 7…8, Killswitch now rolls Cody into the ring. 9! Killswitch slides in, and the referee has a few choice words with him, but Killswitch just stomps on the back of Cody’s neck! Killswitch is pushing Rhodes face into the canvas as if putting out the butt of a lit cigarette on the floor! Killswitch gets a shove from the referee as he warns him again and points at the patch on his shirt to emphasize his position of authority! Cody is slowly wobbling up to his feet as Killswitch shoves the referee out of his way and grasps a hand firmly around Rhodes' throat! Chokeslam! Killswitch keeps his hand locked around the throat as he lifts Rhodes to his feet again. chokeslam! Killswitch screams with unbridled rage as he lifts Rhodes up again! CHOKESLAM! Killswitch plants his foot on the chest of Rhodes as the referee reluctantly counts the pin, 1…..2…..3! Killswitch has emphatically ended Rhodes’ night and secured the victory!



SAMANTHA IRVIN: Here is your winner, KIIILLSWIIITCH!

MICHAEL COLE: I can certainly tell you that Killswitch has been on a rampage lately! Showing more aggression with each successive match The Patriarchy has placed him in!

WADE BARRETT: Rhodes triumphant return certainly does not begin tonight, maybe he should’ve taken a little more time to come back!

MICHAEL COLE: Well, if each match is a learning opportunity I’d say the lesson is don’t let Killswitch get his hands on you!

The referee grabs Killswitch by the arm to raise it in the air but he yanks it away violently before the referee bails for his own safety. Killswitch stares down at the defeated Rhodes one last time before he grabs the top rope and rolls back out of the ring and lands on his feet. Silently making his way to the back as the fans continue to boo him vehemently for his despicable behavior.



The music begins to play as Eric Bischoff walks out to another mixed reaction from the Billings, Montana crowd. He doesn’t seem too concerned as he has a huge smile on his face and makes his way down the entrance ramp and into the ring. As the music dies down, Bischoff produces a microphone.

ERIC BISCHOFF: Thank you, thank you. Now a few weeks ago, I put the WWE locker room on notice for two things. First, I announced I would be putting together a group that would run this company like I’ve done twice before. Second, and most important to this point, is I told everyone in the back I’d be watching closely. I’d be paying special attention to every tag team I saw walking into this ring because a good group needs a tag team. I’d say that one team in particular caught my eye right away. And while it’s true there are a lot of impressive teams running around here, there’s one that I connected to because we both seem to have a little bit of Detroit in our souls.

The fans almost instantly get the hint, and they get to their feet and start to cheer. Bischoff puts his hand through his hair as he takes a moment.

ERIC BISCHOFF: There are two men who come into this ring and week after week put it all on the line for you people. An established tag team for eighteen years now and they aren’t looking to slow down for a bit. Some of you know I was born in Detroit, Michigan. And while as a kid I did move around a bit, once you have the Motor City in your blood, it doesn’t go away. So that is why I’d like to bring out…Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley, The Motor City Machine Guns!

"Six Barrel Shotgun" by Black Rebel Motorcycle Club blasts over the speakers and the crowd cheer for the arrival of Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin as the Motor City Machine Guns walk onto the stage. Performing their signature 'gunshot' motion with their hands, they then reach the ring and after grabbing a microphone each from ringside, they slide under the ropes and come face-to-face with Eric. Alex extends his hand to him, which he shakes before Chris does the same, while the music fades.

ALEX SHELLEY: We'll be honest, Eric. When all of this first started, we weren't 100% about joining you. I mean, this isn't a situation we've found ourselves in before and we weren't sure that we needed to be part of this. We've got by just fine for all these years with just me and Chris. But y'know what? We put a lot of thought into it. It certainly is tempting and well...

CHRIS SABIN: …we're very pleased to say that we'll work with you. Why the hell not? When a guy calls you “a perfect example of a tag team”, it just makes sense to stick with him. That's high praise indeed. So yeah, we're actually very excited about this opportunity and what the future may hold.

They both stick out their hands to shake on the decision. Bischoff reaches out his hand to meet theirs but comes up a bit short. He looks like he's having a battle in his own mind for a second. The looks on both Chris and Alex's faces look a bit puzzled and even the fans aren't quite sure what to think. Bischoff takes a step back.

ERIC BISCHOFF: Alright guys, I have to be a little honest with you. So, it's true that I've always thought you two were a great team. I've spent years watching you and the Detroit thing does have a small soft spot in my very black heart. And I wasn't lying that there was a tag team that immediately grabbed my attention on who I wanted in my group.

Bischoff shakes his head a little bit, obviously searching for the right words to say.

ERIC BISCHOFF: But you two weren't who I was thinking of. And I know I told you that you were the perfect example of a tag team. But what I really meant was that you are a perfect tag team for my team to make an example out of for the rest of the roster. And I mean...I do still believe that...

Bischoff turns away from Chris and Alex who now are even more confused. There is a rumble in the crowd as they see something, but it's too late and from off frame, two figures bash Chris and Alex from behind. It's the two masked men who have been jumping the roster over the last few weeks! They are stomping away at both Machine Guns without mercy. The fans are irate and on their feet as the beat down continues. Bischoff just sits back in a corner and observes with a smirk on his face. The two men grab Shelley and lift him up for a double powerbomb over the top rope crashing on the back of his head on the floor! They turn to see Sabin rising to his feet, he tries to run at the two masked men, but one of them lays him out with a big lariat. The man picks Sabin up and shoots him into the ropes, as Sabin bounces back the man launches him in the air like a flapjack and the other masked man catches Sabin midair with a cutter. Both masked men stand over the unconscious Sabin in the middle of the ring. They turn to look at Bischoff who nods his head. The men each go for their mask to reveal themselves…TAMA TONGA AND TANGA LOA! The fans erupt with anger as the two Tongans smile and celebrate their destruction. Bischoff walks over to them and shakes Tanga and then Tama's hands over the body of Sabin. As Bischoff's music begins to play again, he nods to the entrance ramp and all three of them leave as officials and medical staff are rushing to check on the Machine Guns.

MICHAEL COLE: Can you believe what we just saw? Bischoff is the lowest form of human being on the planet!

WADE BARRETT: I believe we just witnessed some very serious competition for not only the Motor City Machine Guns but the entire tag team division! Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa are quite possibly the roughest and toughest tag team any company has ever seen!

MICHAEL COLE: Those masked men being paired up with Bischoff should’ve been obvious to everyone, they even use the cheap ass tactics you would expect from somebody associated with him! Hopefully the Motor City Machine Guns aren’t injured after this assault we just witnessed.

WADE BARRETT: I’m concerned with what we’ll witness coming up next, because Danhausen is facing Ace Austin but we don’t know how much damage that bear did to him earlier this week when he wrestled it in the woods!

”Pumped To Win” rings out over the P/A system of the First Interstate Arena as Ace Austin poses with his back to the crowd as he shows off the Ace of Spades logo on the back of his jacket. As he spins around he’s got the card trapped between his teeth as he pulls it out and shows it to camera for a moment before throwing it away. Austin now kneels down and poses for the crowd as they boo him vehemently and he merely waves them off with both hands as he smirks at their hatred of him.



SAMANTHA IRVIN: The following match is scheduled for one fall, making his way to the ring, Ace Auuustiiin!

MICHAEL COLE: Ace Austin’s first time in a WWE ring, and it’s on our flagship show, Wade!

WADE BARRETT: He’s made a nice name for himself along the independent circuit though. Some considerable time in IMPACT Wrestling has provided him with a few accolades that aren’t anything to sniff at.

MICHAEL COLE: Well tonight he’s got a challenge from somebody who has been making a name for himself the past few weeks. Quite a few big wins under his belt already and he looks to be quite promising!

WADE BARRETT: Cole, calling that weirdo promising should be an automatic removal from the broadcast desk!

He trash talks a few fans in the front row as he rips a Danhausen sign out of a fans hands and tears it in two before he throws it to the ground and stomps on it. Laughing at the fans distress over the ordeal as he struts his way up the ring steps and flips off a few fans in the front row. Austin doesn’t get to gloat for too long though because ”The Danhausen Show” by Gwarsenio Hall plays as an upset-looking Danhausen stomps his way out to the stage and begins to yell at Ace Austin as he stands on the ring apron. Danhausen points to the fan in the front row whose sign was stolen and tut tuts at Austin!



SAMANTHA IRVIN: And his opponent, he’s very nice, he’s very evil, Daaanhaaauuusen!

MICHAEL COLE: Danhausen not pleased at all with Ace Austin’s actions!

WADE BARRETT: He didn’t even have the respect to wait until Austin got to the ring, how rude! Just another reason that Danhausen is not on my list of true professionals that belong in a WWE ring!

Danhausen approaches the fan who got their sign stolen and gives them a butt out hug for a moment before he apologizes to them for what happened. Reaching his hand up he exposes their gums and looks at their teeth for a moment before waving it off and making his angry trek to the ring to confront his opponent for the evening. He rolls into the ring and gets to his feet before poking Ace Austin in the chest a few times which surprises him.

Ace Austin goes for a quick clothesline but it’s rolled under by Danhausen, as Austin turns he’s met with a vicious slap to the face! As the sweat flies off his cheek he can’t believe what’s just transpired. Austin shoves Danhausen into the ropes and as he comes back he nails a kick to the gut and follows it up with a swinging neckbreaker. Hooks the leg, 1…2…NO! The shoulder is up almost immediately at the count of two and Austin slaps the canvas in frustration before he grabs Danhausen by the top of his head and pulls him up off the canvas. Danhausen takes a swing with his fist but misses, he goes for a second but Austin merely holds him in place with one hand as a few more attempts don’t hit the mark for Danhausen either. Danhausen takes the opportunity to quickly grab the wrist of the arm holding him in place and twists it around behind Austin’s back before he shoves him into the ropes and does an O’Connor Roll that the referee counts the pin on, 1…2…3! NO! Austin kicks out and both men jump to their feet as Danhausen quickly states that he almost had him! Austin now goes for a slap but Danhausen ducks it and holds up his arms and points at him to CURSE HIM! It appears to be intimidating Austin until Danhausen suddenly warns the referee and Austin to look out behind them. Both men turn their backs to Danhausen as they look for the masked men outside of the ring. Austin is the first to turn back around and Danhausen nails him with a PUNCH to the GROIN! Austin is now holding onto the family jewels in pain, as Danhausen lifts Austin onto his shoulders and nails the GOODNIGHTHAUSEN! The referee turns around just in time to see the pinfall, 1…2…3! Danhausen has fooled both the referee and Ace Austin for the victory tonight!



SAMANTHA IRVIN: Here is your winner, DAAANHAAAUUUSEN!

MICHAEL COLE: He did it again, Wade! Another victory for the intrepid Danhausen!

WADE BARRETT: Surely you can see that he cheated, Cole!

MICHAEL COLE: You always talk about how you have to do what you have to do, and don’t call me Shirley!

Danhausen’s arm gets lifted by the referee for his victory but he goes to rush Ace Austin and continue the onslaught! The referee however manages to hold him back and pushes him towards the ropes to get him to exit. Danhausen points back at Ace Austin in the ring as he says a few choice words about getting his teeth!

The cameras now go to the backstage area, where at first the only thing attracting our attention is a door clearly marked with Stephanie McMahon’s name. Though this draws immediate boos, the WWE Universe’s reaction quickly whiplashes right over to cheers as KAIRI walks into view. There's a slight but noticeable lump on her head from her match against Dakota Kai last week, but her mind is clearly elsewhere.

KAIRI stares long and hard at the door, as if doing so might make the boss appear before her very eyes. She reaches out with her right hand as if to knock, but her arm wavers. With a frown and a heavy sigh KAIRI lowers her hand and turns to leave the way she came. However, as the camera pans to the left to follow her we see Cathy Kelley standing at the ready with a mic!

CATHY KELLEY: KAIRI, do you have a moment?

The joshi veteran stops dead in her tracks and looks Cathy up and down, her screwed up face belying a level of uncertainty. Something seems to wash over her though, and she soon smiles and nods.

CATHY KELLEY: Last week you went head-to-head with your former Damage CTRL teammate Dakota Kai in a losing effort. Where’s your head at after coming up just short in that highly intense matchup?

KAIRI reaches up to her forehead, fingers lingering on that little knot.

KAIRI: Well my head’s still a little tender.

She chuckles a little at the notion, but her focus seems to be elsewhere as she speaks.

KAIRI: It’s funny, I spent so much time teaming up with King Kota that I think I still just see her as my friend. And I know that part of me wondered if she really knew who she was before we fought.

KAIRI gives the knot another tap before gingerly lowering her hand.

KAIRI: She showed me who she really is last week. I’m woman enough to give her credit for earning that win. I’m just disappointed that she thinks she needs to use shortcuts to achieve her goals. But she’ll do what she does, and I’ll do what I do. All Captain KAIRI can do is sail to the next port to fight another battle.

KAIRI clenches her hand into a fist and motions to the camera with confidence. However there’s something about her tone that suggests not everything is okay.

CATHY KELLEY: Now that the Money in the Bank briefcase is out of reach for you, what does the future hold for Captain KAIRI?

KAIRI puffs out her cheeks at the question and doesn’t respond immediately. It’s only when Cathy looks on at her expectantly that she finds her conviction.

KAIRI: I really wanted to be the one to climb that ladder and get my hands on the briefcase, but maybe it’s better that I don’t. I’ve seen what that does to a woman. It makes her watch the champion obsessively so that she doesn’t miss the perfect opportunity to cash it in and take the crown. It makes you an opportunist who’s looking for a quick way to change your fortune. Isn’t that kind of a shortcut?

KAIRI shakes her head as she comes to this realization.

KAIRI: It’s not a good or bad thing by nature, but I think it’s best for me not to have that temptation. If I’m going to prove I’m the best in the world, if I’m finally going to become WWE Women’s Champion, I’m going to earn it the right way. I’m not going to sneak attack someone to take the title in an unfair contest, and I’m not going to just appear and issue a challenge without backing it up in the ring. I have to do this my way. The WWE Universe will see who I really am by my actions. And I’m going to become a champion they and the next generation of wrestlers can look up to.

CATHY KELLEY: You mentioned that you’re interested in helping that generation grow in the ring. You’ve also talked about recruiting someone into a crew of some kind - any thoughts on who that might be?

Just as Cathy asks her question, there’s a sudden high-pitched hum of vibration from the pocket of KAIRI’s leather jacket. Those with keen ears can pick up the ever so faint melody of ‘Tokyo Shock’ as the caller’s ringtone. KAIRI shoots an apologetic look to Cathy as she fishes the phone out and accepts the call.

KAIRI: Hello? Oh, IYO?

She holds one finger up - this might take a minute. As she shifts into Japanese, subtitles appear at the bottom of the screen.

KAIRI: <Yes, it’s been a while, hasn’t it? Huh? Why do you want me to come to Florida? Something to show me... Who’s that with you? Fine, fine, I’ll be there tomorrow.>

She taps the phone to end the call, then shrugs to Cathy.

KAIRI: Sorry, IYO called and.. She’s a lot. So I’ve got to go now - but the WWE Universe will get an answer if they keep their eyes on Raw.

With that she flashes a smile for the WWE Universe and marches off with noticeably more confidence in her step as the cameras go back to ringside.

WADE BARRETT: The old captain sounds chipper despite that nasty bump and being booted from the Money in the Bank standings.

MICHAEL COLE: She sure does. And maybe a conversation with IYO Sky can get her head on straight and can get her back on the straight and narrow. But folks, you can’t mention the Money in the Bank match without talking about the champions they’ll be facing. And in our main event, we’ve got two men who both want to be the targets. Diesel and Swerve Strickland have been waging an absolute war against each other, and three weeks ago, Diesel came out on top.

WADE BARRETT: Swerve’s got a fight ahead of him against the behemoth that is Diesel, but I wouldn’t count him out, either. Tonight’s as much about pride as it is the championship.

MICHAEL COLE: Either way, I think we’re in for some mayhem tonight.

”Big Pressure” begins to play over the sound system, and the crowd hisses and boos as Swerve emerges, accompanied by Prince Nana. Nana is up to his normal antics, but Swerve holds that same intensity he wore at Unforgiven. Only now, there’s anger in his eyes.



SAMANTHA IRVIN: The following contest is scheduled for one fall, and it is for the WWE Championship! Introducing the challenger, accompanied by Prince Nana, The Crown Jewel, Swerrrve Striiicklaaand!

MICHAEL COLE: I don’t think that Swerve’s here to play!

WADE BARRETT: That’s a man that knows what’s at stake tonight. It’s not about the crowd, it’s about taking back what’s his.

Swerve walks down the ramp in long strides, looking impatient as he climbs the stairs and between the ropes. He shrugs out of his jacket and hands it to Nana before beginning to pace, looking like a panther, ready to strike. After a moment, the lights go out and “Diesel Powered” begins to play through the speakers. The crowd cheers as the lights come back, and a spotlight follows Diesel from the backstage curtain out to the middle of the stage. One hand holds the gleaming WWE Championship on his shoulder. The other he raises high over his head in a fist, and the crowd roars.



SAMANTHA IRVIN: And his opponent. He is the WWE Champion, Big Daddy Cool, Dieeeselll!!

MICHAEL COLE: And here’s the man that drew Swerve’s ire.

WADE BARRETT: Diesel’s got the crowd behind him, you can’t deny that. But it takes more than cheers to keep a championship. Diesel’s a big man, but this is just another match for him. Swerve’s got more to prove here, so I wouldn’t bet against him just yet.

Diesel starts his walk down the ramp. He grabs the rope and pulls himself up onto the ringside, and shares a staredown with Swerve. The hatred burns in Swerve’s eyes. After a moment, Diesel turns and starts to climb over the top rope - - Swerve strikes! He charges forward and delivers a clubbing blow to Diesel’s back and shoulders! Another! The rope springs up and dumps the champion unceremoniously into the ring. Diesel’s on his stomach pushing himself to his feet, and the ref calls for the bell.

Swerve continues his assault with a charging knee strike that collides into the WWE Champion’s skull with an audible smack! The crowd seems to wince as one, but Swerve grabs Diesel’s head and delivers another knee, and another. After a moment, he takes a step back and jumps up, bringing the knee down hard onto Diesel’s neck and shoulders. The legend claws at the mat in pain as Swerve keeps his knee pressed on that spot, grinding Diesel’s face into the canvas. The ref begins the count, 1…2…3…4…Swerve pulls back before the five count.

WADE BARRETT: Swerve’s bringing the fight here early, he’s got the total initiative here!

MICHAEL COLE: Only because he jumped Diesel before he even got in the ring. The match hadn’t even started yet!

WADE BARRETT: That’s what makes him a world-caliber superstar, Cole. He’s got that dog in him, he’ll do whatever it takes.

Swerve is on his knees in front of the fallen Diesel. He grabs the champion by his hair and forces him to look him in the eye. He shouts “You disrespected me in my yard!” and delivers an overhand punch that rocks Diesel! Swerve grabs him and drags him to his feet. He swaps his grip from Diesel’s head to his hand and whips him into the corner. Diesel arches as his back slams into the ringpost, but Swerve is hot on his tail. He leaps after him, throwing his whole body into Diesel’s chest! Swerve lands on his feet and Diesel is also upright, but he looks like he’s hanging on by a thread. Strickland moves forward and mounts the second rope. He grabs Diesel by the hair and starts throwing hands. The crowd boos as the ref counts the punches. One, two, three, four, he’s still going! Right before the last count, Swerve looks like he’s about to let go, only to pull Diesel down. Double-knee facebreaker! For a second Diesel looks like he’s going to bounce back upright, only for him to fall back. Swerve hooks the leg and goes for the pin. 1..2…kick out at 2!

MICHAEL COLE: How’s Diesel even conscious after that?!

WADE BARRETT: I don’t think he is, Michael! I think that was just instinct!

Swerve’s in just as much shock as the announcers. He argues with the ref, who confirms it was a two count. After a moment Swerve’s on his feet pacing and prowling. He looks at the fallen Diesel, who’s still on his back, and to the turnbuckle. Swerve goes up top and sets his sights on his opponent. He goes for the splash, but Diesel gets the knees up! Swerve crashes and burns hard, gasping as he clutches his stomach. Diesel grabs the rope and hauls himself up to his feet, before grabbing Swerve. He drags the Washington native upright before leaning down, hefting his opponent onto his shoulders – only to stagger as Swerve’s weight lands on his neck. He doesn’t drop the challenger, but the damage Swerve did seems to be taking its toll. After a moment of looking like he was about to drop him, Diesel gets Swerve all the way up, only to toss him back towards the center of the ring with a fallaway slam! The crowd cheers as Swerve hits hard and rolls towards the ropes, landing with his back against him. He sweeps his hair back and looks at Diesel in shock. He pulls himself up as Diesel comes charging forward, and ducks the clothesline! He rebounds off the ropes and comes back, driving Diesel down with a one-handed bulldog!

Swerve kips up and steps through the ropes, before beginning to climb the turnbuckle. He taunts the crowd as he moves before calling his shot! Nana slaps the canvas and shouts his encouragement, but the crowd drowns him out. Swerve leaps for the long-distance Swerve Stomp…NOBODY’S HOME! Swerve hits and rolls through. He comes to a stop against the rope and rises, looking for his opponent only to eat a big boot to the face! Swerve goes over the top rope and crashes to the floor, clutching his face.

MICHAEL COLE: Impressive ring awareness from the champion.

WADE BARRETT: Swerve might be out!

Prince Nana is at ringside checking on his protege who’s seeing stars. After a moment, Swerve starts to regain himself, but he don’t have long to get ready as Diesel is coming around the corner for him! Nana gets between Swerve and Diesel and poses like Big Daddy Cool is going to have to go through him. Diesel looks at him for a moment, sizing the man up. He suddenly draws his fist like he’s about to take a swing, and Nana nearly trips over Swerve as he moves back, throwing his hands up in a ‘don’t do it!’ type gesture. Diesel’s mouth quirks as he watches, only to move on Swerve. He grabs his kneeling opponent, who tries to fight out of it, but Diesel delivers a sharp elbow to Swerve’s collarbone, sending him crashing back down. For a minute Diesel looks at him, and then at the announce table. He leaves Swerve behind and starts to clear the monitors and cover off, throwing them haphazardly aside.

He turns back towards Swerve, who’s back on his feet now. He tries to throw a right hand at the champ, but Diesel blocks and throws his own. Swerve staggers but goes for another, only to take a second punch! Swerve sees stars, and Diesel grabs him, dragging him over towards the table. He knees him in the gut, doubling him in half. He signals for the Jackknife Powerbomb and the crowd roars. He raises Swerve…and staggers! The abuse his neck and back have taken make him struggle to keep the smaller man up. Diesel adjusts his grip, trying to get a better position, but Swerve’s regained his senses! He drives several right hands into Diesel’s head, until he’s forced to let him fall. Swerve lands on his feet on the table, with Diesel clutching at the back of his neck with one hand and holding himself upright with the other. Swerve takes a few steps back, he leaps…House Call through the announce table!

WADE BARRETT: Oh my God!

MICHAEL COLE: We might not have a winner tonight, we might need medics out here!

Both men are down at ringside, and the ref is counting. Prince Nana moves in, talking to Swerve and trying to get him back up. Swerve staggers as he rises to his knees, so Prince Nana physically grabs him and pulls him upright, leading him over and rolling him through the ropes and back out to break the count. The Realest grabs Diesel and struggles to heave all 330 pounds of WWE Champion to his feet as the ref’s count continues. 4..5…6. Swerve gets him upright and pulls him over to the ring. Diesel rolls under the ropes, but Swerve’s still outside. 7...8…Swerve’s back in at 9.5! Diesel’s on his knees clutching the abused neck and shoulders. Swerve backs up into the corner behind him. He steps back out and climbs the ropes to the top, looking for the Swerve Stomp. Diesel rises slowly to his feet, but Swerve isn’t deterred from a high-risk maneuver. He leaps…Diesel catches him! Big Daddy Cool staggers with the impact and looks like he’s about to fall. But after a moment, he hefts Swerve into position, turns and hurls him down with a Jackknife Powerbomb! Diesel hooks the leg and goes for the pin! 1…2…3!



SAMANTHA IRVIN: Here is your winner and STIIILL WWE Champion, Big Daddy Cool DIEEESELLL!

The ref places the belt in Diesel’s hand and grabs the other, throwing it up in celebration. The crowd roars in approval as Diesel raises the belt up over his head. He winces and grabs the back of his neck, before turning to step out of the ring and leaving Prince Nana to check on Swerve.

MICHAEL COLE: What a rollercoaster we witnessed here tonight, folks! Swerve Strickland had a lot of offense tonight, but even then he simply couldn’t overcome the power that Diesel brings to the table.

WADE BARRETT: I said from the beginning that Diesel had the advantage here tonight, but Swerve really showed what a competitor he is. And of course, Diesel proved that it wasn’t just luck that got the belt put around his waist in the first place.

MICHAEL COLE: Still, I can’t think of a better way to wrap up than a match like that. Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for joining us tonight for this episode of Monday Night RAW.
