Sunday Night Heat 7-28-2024

The screen bursts with the Heatwave logo, followed by a high-energy montage of last week’s jaw-dropping events. The introduction of the fierce Heatwave competitors is followed by the arrival of Dawn Marie and the sensational entrance of Maki Itoh, who stunned everyone by eliminating Raychell Rose and Renee Michelle. The clip finishes with a montage of the cast of girls fronted by Dawn.


MAURO RANALLO: And now, ladies and gents, we go to the second installment of Heatwave! If you missed last week’s episode, you missed one heck of a show. It looked like two of our competitors were eliminated after an unexpected visit from the “Cutest in the World” Maki Itoh!

BETH PHOENIX: That’s right, Mauro. Maki certainly shook things up, and now we're down to just four competitors. Tonight, the journey continues as we get closer to finding out who will earn that WWE contract and $100,000.

The arena lights dim, and the show’s official theme song “Espresso” by Sabrina Carpenter hits the speakers. The crowd buzzes with anticipation as Dawn Marie struts down the ramp, her confidence and command unmistakable. She’s closely followed by Dani Jordyn who appears next on the top of the ramp, hi-fiving a few fans as she makes her way down behind Dawn. Next up is Scarlett Bordeaux who doesn’t stop to pose, but continues her sultry walk, drawing attention with her captivating smile. Sonny Kiss comes after, bursting onto the ramp full of energy and excitement to still be in the competition. Kiss blows kisses to the fans, dancing and interacting with the crowd as they make their way down to the ring. Lastly, it’s Viva Van who confidently strides out, blowing a kiss and acknowledging her fans she’s accumulated here on Heat as she makes her way down. Now, Dawn Marie is inside the ring where she gets handed a microphone. She waits for the ladies to get comfortable in their line-up inside the ring and waits for the music to fade before she speaks.

DAWN MARIE: Welcome back to Heatwave, everyone! Last week was an eye-opener for us all, to say the least. We had a little unexpected visit from a certain nobody, which has resulted in the elimination of Raychell Rose and Renee Michelle.

The crowd reacts with a mix of cheers and boos.

DAWN MARIE: But the show must go on! Tonight, we’re going to continue the competition with our remaining four contestants. But before we get started, let me introduce tonight’s co-host and the person who will be setting the first challenge for our girls… Velvet Sky!


“Angel on My Shoulder” by Dale Oliver blares through the speakers as Velvet Sky appears and makes her way down the ramp to a mixed reaction. She enters the ring, where she and Dawn Marie exchange air kisses on the cheeks. Dawn hands Velvet the microphone as her music fades.

VELVET SKY: Tonight, I’m here with the always stunning Dawn Marie to see if you ladies have what it takes to make it in this industry. Last week we didn’t get the chance to hear from some of you so we’re going to start with a little exercise to see who can take the heat. Each of you will get a chance to address the crowd, your competitors, and if you’re brave enough you can even come for us, real ‘Beautiful People’ style. Remember, the goal is to stand out, so don’t be scared to make an impression. This is for fun so be brutal. We don’t bite.

The competitors exchange glances as Dawn and Velvet share a smirk at each other. Dawn then turns her attention back to the contestants and takes her first step toward Dani Jordyn.

DAWN MARIE: Let's get started! First up, Dani Jordyn!

Dani steps forward, flipping her hair back confidently.


DANI JORDYN: Viva, Scarlett, Sonny–you all think you have what it takes? Please. Viva, you’re just another wannabe tough girl who’s all bark and no bite. I’ve chewed you up and spat you up multiple times. Scarlett, you rely on your looks because you know you can't compete with any of our skills. And Sonny, you’re so busy trying to be everyone's friend, you forgot that this is a competition, not a social club. I’m here to win, and I’ll trample over all of you to do it.

The crowd responds with a mix of boos and cheers, appreciating Dani's ruthless confidence.

DAWN MARIE: Ouch! Next up, Scarlett Bordeaux!

Scarlett saunters forward, her sultry demeanor captivating the audience.

SCARLETT BORDEAUX: Well, unlike you fives, I’m the total package. Looks, talent, and brains. Just look at me. The Perfect Ten. The Smoke Show is here to win Heatwave and bring sexy back to wrestling!

The crowd’s reaction is loud and enthusiastic, clearly enjoying Scarlett’s confidence. She smiles seductively, then begins a slow, sexy dance, her movements hypnotic and captivating. As the music builds, she teasingly removes her robe, revealing stunning, provocative lingerie beneath. Some of the male audience members erupt in loud cheers and whistles, giving Scarlett a cheap pop.

DAWN MARIE: That’s our girl! Next, Sonny Kiss!

Sonny steps forward, their energy palpable as the crowd cheers.

SONNY KISS: Sure, Dani, you’re a mean girl, but this isn’t high school, and honey, you’re not Regina George. Grow up! Scarlett, your beauty might distract some, but I see right through it just like we all see right through those panties… yeah… cover up, girl. And Viva, you’ve got heart, but heart alone doesn’t win championships. I’m here to prove that being true to yourself is the real path to victory. And trust me, none of you stand a chance against Sonny Kiss.

The crowd buzzes with anticipation, fully invested in the heated exchange as the girls now start to bicker back and forward with each other although the clear winner for now is Sonny.

DAWN MARIE: Finally, Viva Van!

Viva now steps forward, exuding fierce energy.

VIVA VAN: Dani, your arrogance is your biggest weakness. Scarlett, you’re more focused on your reflection than your opponents. Sonny, you’re too busy spreading positivity to see what’s coming your way. I’ve fought my way up from nothing, and I’m not stopping now. I’m here to win, and I’ll take down anyone who stands in my way.

The crowd reacts with loud cheers, impressed by Viva's determination.

VELVET SKY: Great job, everyone. Now, let’s see what the crowd thinks. Cheer for your favorite!

Velvet goes over each of the girls individually, letting the crowd’s noise decide. When she gets to Sonny, the cheers are at their loudest.

VELVET SKY: Looks like Sonny Kiss wins this round! But before we move on, Sonny, go for gold! What do you have to say about me?

Sonny wastes no time, stepping forward with confidence as he stares right through Velvet who stands with a confident grin on her face.

SONNY KISS: Velvet Sky, you may have made a name for yourself in that low-rate company with that low-rate hair, but I'm here to show you that times have changed. This is a new era, and Sonny Kiss is the future! Look at me and look at all of you. I’m the cream, honey. I’m going to take this competition by storm, and there’s nothing you or anyone else can do about it!

The crowd erupts in cheers, loving Sonny’s boldness. Velvet scoffs as Sonny gets into it, dancing with flair. Dawn Marie approaches now, passing through Velvet, who takes a step back.

SONNY KISS: Are you offended, Dawn? Because you know how much I want this, so you can get it too. And you know what they say: if the shoes fit, then lace the bitches up and walk in them! And let’s be honest, we all preferred Torrie Wilson anyway.

The crowd roars with laughter at Sonny’s comments. Suddenly, Velvet attacks, delivering a boot to Sonny's midsection. The audience gasps as Sonny crumples. Velvet lifts Sonny, turning around to clamp his head with her arm to deliver a thunderous stunner that leaves Sonny sprawled on the mat!! The crowd erupts in boos, their cheers turning into shocked gasps. Dawn Marie stands over Sonny, sneering. She slowly circles the fallen competitor, reveling in the chaos she and Velvet have wrought. She grabs a microphone, her voice dripping with disdain.

DAWN MARIE: That was impressive, sweetie. But guess what? You’re done. You’re out of this competition!

Dawn smirks as she signals to Velvet, who picks up Sonny and throws them out of the ring with disdain. The remaining competitors stand in shock, unsure of what to expect next. Dawn turns her icy gaze to them, her smile widening.

DAWN MARIE: That’s right, ladies. Just like that, we’re down to three. You just eliminated yourself, Sonny. Let that be a lesson to all of you. Step out of line, and you’re out. This is my show and I make the rules!



MAURO RANALLO: I can’t believe what we just witnessed! Sonny Kiss was brutally eliminated right in front of our eyes. Dawn Marie and Velvet Sky have made a statement tonight, but was it fair? The competition is now fiercer than ever with only three contestants remaining: Dani Jordyn, Scarlett Bordeaux, and Viva Van. How will they respond to this shocking turn of events?

BETH PHOENIX: It’s clear that Dawn Marie and Velvet Sky are not playing by the usual rules, but they’re keeping things interesting, that’s for sure!

MAURO RANALLO: They’ve set a ruthless tone, and the remaining competitors will have to adapt quickly. This is shaping up to be an intense and unpredictable journey. Let's see how they handle the pressure from here on out.

As the camera pans over the crowd, the atmosphere is electric with anticipation. The remaining contestants exchange wary glances, clearly shaken but determined to stay in the competition. The camera then focuses back on the ring, where Dawn Marie and Velvet Sky are basking in the reaction from the audience.

DAWN MARIE: Remember, ladies, the Heatwave competition is not just about your skills in the ring. It’s about proving you have the grit, the charisma, and the sheer determination to rise above any challenge. Now, let’s keep this momentum going! We’ve seen some fire tonight, and now it’s time to turn up the heat even more! Up next, we have a singles match featuring one of our fierce competitors. Dani, get ready. You talked a big game earlier, and now it’s time to back it up!

With that, the Heatwave theme ‘Espresso’ by Sabrina Carpenter begins playing and Dawn Marie gracefully exits the ring and begins making her way to the commentary table. As the competitors exchange wary glances and begin to make their way backstage, the camera follows their progress. Velvet Sky trails behind, keeping a watchful eye on the remaining contestants, her demeanour one of cold authority.

BETH PHOENIX: Well, it looks like Dawn’s joining the team for the moment. How’s it going Dawn?

DAWN MARIE: Beth, if you can’t reply to my messages then what makes you think I want to talk to you in person?

BETH PHOENIX: I mean, I’m sorry I can’t join in your reality television stuff, I’m kinda tied up here, you know…

DAWN MARIE: Whatever Beth. Just continue to be the boring old fart we all know you to be.

After the shocking turn of events in the Heatwave competition, Dani Jordan remains in the ring. If Sonny’s preceding elimination bothers Dani she’s doing her best not to show it. Her gaze is focused as she looks up the ramp for her as yet undetermined opponent. The mystery is soon resolved as an voice all too familiar to Sunday Nights is heard over the PA system.



DAWN MARIE: OH MY GOD! Who booked this!? This has to be a joke! She can’t keep showing up uninvited like this!

’Brooklyn The Hole’ strikes up as the fans cheer Maki Itoh’s arrival as loudly as they can. It takes no time for the Cutest in the World to dance out from the back, mic in hand. She makes sure the camera gets a good shot of her ‘GET THE F IN’ t-shirt before winking coquettishly. As usual she sings her way to the ring as the crowd sings along.

MIKE ROME: And her opponent, from Fukuoka, Japan, ‘The Cutest in the World’, Maki Ioth!

Maki flashes a big smile as she shoots up the ring steps and then enters the ring. As the crowd sings the ‘Whooooa whoooa’ she spins to the center of the ring and strikes a cute pose.. With one arm extended behind her in a no-look flipping off of Dani Jordan. This draws an incredulous shrug from Dani, who’s pretty sure she hasn’t done anything to warrant such treatment. Maki meanwhile prances to her corner and hands her t-shirt and mic to the ring crew.



Dani wastes no time getting the action started, rushing Maki right as the Fired Idol steps out of the corner. She unloads a nasty dropkick that sends Maki flying back into the turnbuckles, then swarms Maki with a torrential downpour of forearm strikes. Dani is relentless, not giving Maki an inch and whipping her to the opposite side of the ring. Maki hits the turnbuckles hard and Dani is just a few steps behind, rushing in for a knee strike to the head. It lands, but Dani limps out of the corner holding her leg in pain. Maki meanwhile just pats her head and lets out a war cry as she seizes the momentum thanks to the hardest head in wrestling.

DAWN MARIE: These girls are really starting to get on my last nerve!

Maki rushes in and takes Dani down with a dragon screw. With Dani clutching her leg Maki gives her head a pat and runs the ropes before going limp and falling right on the leg with a Kokeshi! Maki goes for the pin but it’s only two. Clearly enjoying herself now, Maki pulls Dani off the mat and attempts to whip her to the ropes but gets reversed. Maki attempts to shoulder block her but Dani doesn’t budge. Angrily Maki shoots off again, landing another ineffective shoulder block. With a frustrated shout she shoots off again and ducks a lariat by Dani to hit the opposite rope. Dani catches her on the rebound and starts to set up a big move - only for Maki to counter into a victory roll which she chains into a submission hold - ITOH DELUXE! Dani screams in pain and briefly tries to fight it, but she soon taps to the delight of the WWE Universe



As “Brooklyn The Hole” blares through the arena, the crowd erupts into cheers. Maki stands in the center of the ring now, beaming with pride after her impressive victory over Dani Jordyn. Dawn is off the commentary table, also on her feet outside of the ring with a microphone in hand.

DAWN MARIE: Well, well, well. What a delightful surprise we’ve had tonight! Itoh, you certainly know how to make an entrance and a statement. But let’s not forget, we have some unfinished business.

Dawn Marie looks on at the defeated Dani Jordyn, who is still writhing on the mat from the effects of the Itoh Deluxe. The crowd watches with bated breath as Dawn takes a deep breath and addresses the remaining competitors.

DAWN MARIE: Dani, I hope you enjoyed your time here on Heatwave because it’s coming to an end. From the very beginning, you’ve been getting outshined and although your career will continue to fall flat on Heat, it won’t continue with that on Heatwave or Raw. Your journey with us is over, sweetheart! You’re out!

Some cheer at the decisive elimination, while others murmur in surprise at the sudden end of Dani’s run in the competition. The arena’s atmosphere is charged with a mix of excitement and tension for what was next to come.

DAWN MARIE: And you, Maki, you’ve proven yourself to be quite the fierce competitor here on Heat, haven’t you? I have to say; you could be a colourful addition to this competition, especially with how fast these idiots are tripping up and getting themselves eliminated. You can’t keep showing up and inviting yourself into my business. So, I’m throwing an invitation out to you. You want to be a superstar? You want $100,000? You want to fight on Raw? You want to get the F in? Then next week, you come down and get the F in Heatwave with the other girls, how about that?

The crowd starts to cheer loudly, excited at the prospect of Maki entering the Heatwave challenge. The energy in the arena builds as fans begin to chant Maki’s name. “Brooklyn The Hole” hits the speaker again. She pumps her fists and raises her arms, celebrating as the crowd’s cheers intensify. Dani Jordyn is out of the ring, her face a mix of disappointment and frustration. Dawn Marie cuts the corner making her own way back, casting a dirty look toward Dani as she tries to console herself. Maki continues to celebrate in the ring, her expression a blend of joy and determination. The camera captures her soaking in the moment as the scene fades out.



MAURO RANALLO: Well, another night of Heatwave and another night where two of the girls get eliminated. I think we’re already down to our finalists, Viva Van and Scarlett Bordeaux, that is if Maki doesn’t accept the invitation to join!

BETH PHOENIX: Oh, come on, Mauro! She’s showing up and winning the damned show. Someone has to save this trainwreck from Dawn Marie’s hands, and it’s going to be Maki Itoh.
