The Sunday Night Heat intro plays and the fans inside the arena begin to cheer loudly, as the lights begin to flicker and spotlights cut through the crowd. As the shows intro ends, the camera pans around the arena and catches a few shots of rowdy fans who are cheering loudly. We cut to the commentary booth, where Beth Phoenix and Mauro Ranallo are ready to announce for the evening. MAURO RANALLO: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to another episode of Sunday Night Heat! I'm Mauro Ranallo joined as always by Beth Phoenix. Beth, this past Monday night on RAW, the chaos from The Young Bucks continued as they filled in on commentary for an injured Michael Cole! BETH PHOENIX: Yes they did and I have to say, I don't envy Wade Barrett one bit! MAURO RANALLO: The good news is, he won't have to put up with them for another week because I've gotten word that Michael Cole has been cleared to return to commentary tomorrow night! BETH PHOENIX: That's great news! MAURO RANALLO: That it is! But we have other things we need to focus on tonight, we should be getting an answer from Maki Itoh on whether or not she'll accept the offer from Dawn Marie to join the pool of contestants on Heatwave! BETH PHOENIX: I personally think she's above Dawn's little competition but what do I know? I just hope Pat finally comes through with the catering again! He's been slacking the last couple of weeks and I've been leaving work hungry! If you're listening, Pat, I'm very disappointed, just when I was starting to like you! I won't harp on that for too long though, I'll just wait and see if you decide to make it up to me. In the meantime, let's get another night of white hot action underway! The camera cuts away, as the fans and the rest of the WWE Universe await the first match of Sunday Night Heat.

Christian Cage would appear backstage with Shanya holding tightly onto his arm. It was no getting late in the night and soon Christian Cage would step into the ring, a point to prove, as his sons will be taking on the tag team champions if he has anything to say about it, and one of the biggest stars of all time, will be there as well, CM Punk. Christian Cage could not afford any slips up tonight. He has worked months and months for this moment and he was going to make the most of it. The WWE logo would appear at the bottom of the screen as things got under way. Shanya would step away, grabbing a microphone off a nearby table and then handing it to Christian Cage. The father of this company would hold tightly onto the microphone as he then licks his lips and then raises it upwards and begins speaking down into it, cutting right to the chase and speaking about the man his sons, will challenge and face, CM Punk. “There was upon a time that I had respect for CM Punk. It is no secret that when I first joined this company he was the man that I respected the most. He was the man that I wanted to be. It is hard to believe that Christian Cage of all people wanted to be like CM Punk of all people, but it is the truth. Who doesn’t want to be like him? He is an inspiration to me like myself self-made men who had to work hard to get into this business. CM Punk was the man with all the attention in this company and all others. He was the man on the tip of everyone’s tongue, the man everyone wanted to be and the man everyone wanted and had to beat if they wanted to have any ounce of success. CM Punk won it all, he done it all. Every championship, every challenger, every record that needed broken, he beat them all, he reigned on top for so long that everyone believed he would never fall. I have to give credit where it was due, he has been successful here, and he has had more success than most people here, but all of the success, everything he has ever done in and outside of the ring doesn’t matter. The only thing that matters is that my sons defeat him and take what is rightfully mine, the Tag Team Championship.” The microphone is then lowered as at Christian Cage you could see Shanya clapping her hands. She approved of what he has said, but in the background her clapping was drowned out by the sound of boos. The fans in the arena didn’t appreciate anything that he had said, but Christian Cage would brush it off and continue to speak into his microphone. “I am an intelligent man. I finally opened my eyes and I finally saw what others saw, CM Punk was nothing but an overhyped idiot who merely gained success by using dirty tactics and using his cults to do all the hard work for him. He got others to do his bidding, to do his dirty work for him. That’s the difference between me and him. He needed others to do his work for him while I needed no one. I won all my championships in my long career on my own and when CM Punk puts the title on the line, it will be no different for my family. I gained my success by myself while he got others to hand him his championships. He won all of his championships against weaklings and he stayed on top for so long because everyone else bought into him being the “best in the world”. I have seen him for what he truly is, and everything he has done no longer impresses me. All of the hype is exactly that, it is just hype. CM Punk cannot back up his words. He cannot back it up when it most counts, in the ring. He doesn’t have his cults anymore, no little groups to help him. He doesn’t have anyone at his side, Stevie is nothing more than a bag carrier for him. CM Punk is not the man I once respected. CM Punk is not the man I once believed in. I can barely call him a man anymore. Now he is nothing more than a shadow of himself. I will take great pride in stopping him before he can do more harm to this company, because this company deserves better than CM Punk. It deserves justice and I will be the one to do that.” In the background once again the vocal crowd would disagree with everything that Christian Cage has said, but the father believed it to be the truth. He is no longer smiling as he starts to talk in a far more serious tone than before. As he moved, walking forward from the backstage area and down to the ring and getting into it, for his match tonight, just to truly prove a point.
Christian Cage VS. The Blade SINGLES MATCH
There's not much of a history between these two. The Blade and Cage have, for the best parts of their careers, avoided one another's paths. Until now, of course. Cage springs from the corner at the sound of the bell and rather dim wittingly tries to defeat The Blade in a struggle of power in the centre of the ring. A contest he, inevitably loses as The Blade throws him against the ropes.
Christian rebounds, ducks under a swinging right hook from The Blade and hits The Blade in the back of the leg with a drop kick! The Blade falls to one knee and Christian uses the rope again, accelerating into a bull dog! Cover; one, two – but The Blade will not go down so easily!
Christian thinks better about asking the referee about the count and goes straight back to work on The Blade, kicking him into the corner and stomping him against the turnbuckle. It was going well until The Blade get a grip of his leg and, in another show of superior strength, powers his way back to his feet, still holding Cage's leg, and throws him to the canvas.
Cage bounces straight back up, only to get a jumping shoulder block as he does! This continues for a few turns until The Blade spins Christian into a spinning-sit out powerbomb! “You don’t have it anymore” he tell Christian as he catapults off the ropes and nails him with it!
Christian rolls over to his knees, holding his face as The Blade pulls him back to his feet and hoists him onto his shoulders! Time for a backbody drop – but Christian slips off and pulls The Blade into a roll up! Referee is on it like a car bonnet; one, two, three! Christian Cage has won it!
WINNER Christian Cage PINFALL | 7:12 He slips from the rings and enjoys his victory on the ramp before The Blade has time to work out what just happened! Proving once again, he works smatter and hard than everyone else, as he would back away, with the microphone being handed to him.
“CM Punk has not changed anything about himself in all of the years he has been in this business. He is the same man he has always been, the same liar. Everything he does or says is exactly the same. Every single time you hand him a microphone he says the exact same thing. He cracks the exact same jokes and makes references that the vast majority of people don’t understand because of their low intelligence. He talks about change, about making things better, about being the best in the world, but everything he has said is a lie. He is not the best in the world, anyone who calls him that or believes that is not a true wrestling fan. CM Punk does not hold the interests of any of the people that support him, he does not care about the people that made him, he only cares about himself. Do you honestly think he does anything for you people? He could not care less about you or your problems, but I do. I care about each and every one of you. I care for my fans. I know your hardships. I know deep down you hate liking CM Punk. You hate that he is your champion, but worry not after Summerslam he will no longer be a problem for any of you. That will be the last night of CM Punk, the last night he ever competes in this company.” Now finally Christian Cage would get a mixed reaction as it seems that he has got a few people to believe in what he is talking about. Christian Cage would then break a small smile as he speaks into the microphone once again. “Do you all remember the last man that believed he was better than me? His name was Sami Zayn and he was exactly like CM Punk. He made a lot of promises. He always talked a good game, but he could never back it up in the ring. I saw him for what he truly was! He was nothing more than a liar and I cannot stand liars. Do you all remember what I did to him? I broke him in the ring when we faced one another, I broke him and everyone else that has ever gotten into the ring with me and now CM Punk, is the next idiot that will share the same fate – him and that tool who follows him around. Everyone believed that when I and Sami Zayn faced one another that he would defeat me, but I proved them wrong and once again I will prove everyone wrong again by having my boys. Taking on and defeating CM Punk and casting him out of this company once and for all. Everyone that has stood before me, saying they are better than me, has fallen to me. This is the night where everyone sees you for what you are CM Punk! Summerslam, is where the people finally have their eyes opened and see me, Christian Cage as their true champion, as champion the people truly want. I am not doing this for me; I am doing this for the good of this company and for the good of the people that helped me get to where I am. I do this for my family, because it is the right thing to do. It is the right way to deal with someone like CM Punk, show him no mercy and give him what he deserves. Do to them what they have done to others, but only tenfold. CM Punk will face justice at the grandest show of the summer, he will face Christian Cage children and he will finally meet his match and fall to me and my sons.” Christian Cage would smile as he then pulls Shanya to his side and kisses her. The crowd are in an uproar as Christian Cage then let’s go of her and looks into the camera once again as that smirk crawls back over his face. He has cut right into CM Punk. He has made it clear that he will have his sons defeat CM Punk and his little sidekick and take his championship. Christian Cage then takes the hand of Shanya and both of them walk away together as the camera fades to darkness and WWE cuts to the next segment.

MIKE ROME: This next contest is set for one fall. Making his way down to the ring, from Hazlet Township, New Jersey, The Bad Boy, Joeeeeeeeeey Jaaaanellllllaaaa! And his opponent, already in the ring, Louis Valle! Janela appears at the top of the ramp, a smirk on his face. He makes his way down the ramp and rolls under the bottom rope into the ring. He walks past Louis and goes up to the second rope, holding his arms out to his side as the crowd really doesn’t know how to react to him.BETH PHOENIX: You know, I’ve heard a lot about Joey Janela but haven’t really ever had the chance to watch him compete. MAURO RANALLO: To say he’s world traveled would be an understatement. He certainly has a reputation behind him but there’s no doubt he can bring it. BETH PHOENIX: He has quite a look to him. MAURO RANALLO: You’re being very diplomatic. JOEY JANELA VS. LOUIS VALLE SINGLES Janela is in the process of taking off his jacket, his sunglasses, his headband, one earring, a nose ring, a necklace, a set of ring, he takes off one of his knee pads for some reason, he puts his hair up in a ponytail, he takes his shirt off and looks like he’s finally ready for action. Louis Valle is watching the process and shaking his head. The referee can hardly contain a snicker as it took Janela a good three to four minutes to get all of his extra paraphernalia off in preparation for the match. The referee checks with both competitors and they both nod that they’re ready, the bell is rang and this match is underway. BETH PHOENIX: Joey Janela had a lot of cranial accessories. MAURO RANALLO: You’re really expanding your vocabulary, Beth. BETH PHOENIX: I think I’m just throwing myself into learning new words after not having food delivered to me the last few Heats by Pat McAfee. MAURO RANALLO: That makes sense. The two come in and lock up with a collar and elbow tie up, trying to get the advantage. BETH PHOENIX: Wait… MAURO RANALLO: Yes? BETH PHOENIX: Is his name a take on the city of Louisville? Louis Valle? Like, Louisville? Or is it Louis like Lewis? Are we saying his name wrong? MAURO RANALLO: I…um, well…I’m not sure. BETH PHOENIX: I feel like we’ve been saying his name wrong. No way it’s like Louisville, the city, right? He’s not even billed from Louisville. MAURO RANALLO: I have down that he’s from Bled Island. BETH PHOENIX: Bled Island? MAURO RANALLO: I’m googling it now. This says it’s in Slovenia. BETH PHOENIX: He’s Slovenian? MAURO RANALLO: It would seem so. BETH PHOENIX: This match is like the Olympics, Mauro! USA and Slovenia! Bled Island and Long Island! MAURO RANALLO: Technically, Janela is from New Jersey. BETH PHOENIX: I hear it’s been called the armpit of America. MAURO RANALLO: That’s not very nice, Beth. BETH PHOENIX: Listen, I’m not trying to be judgemental. I told you backstage and off air that I’m really working on being better and not being so judgy. But seriously, look at Joey Janela and tell me he’s not from the armpit of America. MAURO RANALLO: I wish I could argue with it but he’s a very dirty man. BETH PHOENIX: He’s like Pigpen from Charlie Brown. You can see the stench coming off of him. MAURO RANALLO: Joey Janela looking to get a debut win here in WWE. And what a win it would be for the Bad Boy! BETH PHOENIX: Oh wait, what’s going on? I think we missed a bunch of stuff talking about Bled Island. MAURO RANALLO: You derailed us! We go back to the ring where Joey Janela is climbing to the top rope, Louis Valle down on the mat below him. Janela takes flight, flipping over in air and hitting Lous with a Swanton Bomb! He goes for the pin! 1…2…3! It’s over! WINNER JOEY JANELA PINFALL 2:59 MAURO RANALLO: Well, we missed a good portion of that match Googling Slovenian islands. Sorry folks. BETH PHOENIX: It didn’t look like much of a match anyway.

Sunday Night Heat opens with the crowd buzzing with excitement as the camera pans to the ring where Marko Stunt stands, visibly frustrated, with a microphone in hand.Marko Stunt: You know, I've been busting my butt, week in and week out, giving everything I've got in this ring. And what do I get? Nothing! Meanwhile, that flea bag Mankind walks in and takes the Intercontinental Championship like it's a piece of candy! It should have been me called up, it should have been me given that title shot! Not some washed-up has-been! The crowd reacts with mixed boos and cheers as Marko paces around the ring.Marko Stunt: Mankind, you don't deserve that title. I do! I've earned it! And I'm not going to stand here and let you parade around with something that belongs to me! Mankind's music hits, and the crowd erupts. Mankind walks out with the Intercontinental Championship slung over his shoulder, looking somber as he approaches the ring.MANKIND: Marko, I understand your frustration. I really do. It's unfortunate it had to be this way, and I wish things could be different. But if you want a match for this belt, all you have to do is say 'please'. Marko glares at Mankind, his face contorted with rage. Without warning, he spits in Mankind's face, and the crowd gasps. Wiping the spit from his face, Mankind’s expression darkening.MANKIND: You shouldn't have done that, Marko. In an instant, Mankind snaps, charging at Marko and taking him down. The referee rushes to the ring, and the match is officially underway. The referee signals for the bell, Mankind vs. Marko Stunt for the Intercontinental Championship begins.BETH PHOENIX: What a shocking turn of events! Mankind snapped, and now we're witnessing an impromptu Intercontinental Championship match! MAURO RANALLO: Marko Stunt may have bitten off more than he can chew by disrespecting Mankind like that! MANKIND VS. MARKO STUNTSINGLES MATCH
Mankind, fueled by rage, dominates the early moments of the match, delivering stiff punches and vicious knee strikes to Marko. He whips Marko into the corner and follows up with a running knee to the face, sending Marko crumpling to the mat. BETH PHOENIX: Mankind is relentless! He's taking out all his frustration on Marko Stunt! Marko, despite the beating, shows resilience. He rolls out of the ring to catch his breath, but Mankind follows him, grabbing him by the hair and slamming his head into the barricade. The referee starts counting them out. Mankind rolls Marko back into the ring to break the count and continues his assault, hitting a swinging neck breaker. He covers Marko for the pin. Marko kicks out just in time, showing his determination to fight. Mankind, slightly frustrated, lifts Marko and attempts a Double Arm DDT, but Marko counters with a swift kick to Mankind's knee, dropping him to one knee. MAURO RANALLO: Marko Stunt with a burst of offense! Can he capitalize? Marko hits the ropes and returns with a dropkick, staggering Mankind. He follows up with a quick DDT, planting Mankind on the mat. Marko goes for the pin. Mankind kicks out, and the crowd is on their feet. Marko climbs to the top rope, signaling for a high-risk maneuver. He leaps off with a crossbody, but Mankind catches him mid-air and slams him down with a powerful spine buster. Mankind, sensing victory, applies the Mandible Claw, forcing his fingers into Marko's mouth. Marko struggles, trying to break free, but the pain is too much. He begins to fade. With no response from Marko, the referee calls for the bell. Mankind releases the hold, and the referee raises his hand in victory. Marko lies on the mat, defeated but having shown tremendous heart. WINNER MANKIND SUBMISSION {Mandible Claw} | 5:20Mankind looks down at Marko, a mixture of respect and frustration on his face, before exiting the ring and heading back up the ramp with his title held high. As Mankind exits the ring, he pauses, looking back at the fallen Marko Stunt. He retrieves a microphone from ringside and re-enters the ring, standing over Marko. He kneels down and gently strokes Marko's hair, an eerie calmness in his demeanor.
MANKIND: Marko, you remind me of someone. You remind me of Adam Cole. You both took my kindness for weakness. But that kindness ends now.
Mankind's voice turns cold, and he stops stroking Marko's hair, standing up and glaring down at him.
MANKIND: Let this be a lesson to anyone who thinks they can take advantage of me. I'm no longer the man you can walk over. Things will be DIFFERENT from now on.
Mankind drops the mic, his message clear, and raises the Intercontinental Championship high above his head as he exits the ring. The crowd is left in a stunned silence, absorbing the ominous warning from the champion.
BETH PHOENIX: A chilling message from Mankind.
MAURO RANALLO: Mankind has made it clear: his kindness will no longer be mistaken for weakness.
The camera focuses on Mankind walking up the ramp, the Intercontinental Championship gleaming in the arena lights, before cutting to a commercial break.

MIKE ROME: The following contest is scheduled for one fall! Already in the ring, from Lake Forest, California, VertVixen! VertVixen awaits in her corner, using the ropes to limber up before a big Heat match that's just moments away. It doesn't take long for us to find out who she's got the misfortune of facing either. A mere moment after Mike Rome announces her, the distorted railroad crossing signal goes off as ‘Tokyo Shock’ by def rebel hits. The WWE Universe mostly cheers as the former WWE Women's Champion Io Shirai steps into view with her back to the camera.MIKE ROME: And her opponent, from Tokyo, Japan, The Genius of the Sky, Iooo Shiraaaaiii! When Io turns and pulls back her hood we see she's wearing a black luchador style mask akin to her earliest days in NXT. To another cheer Io pulls the mask off and lets loose a kiai shout before smirking at the camera. With that she cuts a direct path to the ring with so much swagger it's like she was never gone from WWE. MAURO RANALLO: MAMA MIA! This Sunday night just heated up exponentially. For the first time in the new era of WWE, IYO SKY.. no, Io Shirai is back in action. BETH PHOENIX: Before the reset she was WWE Women's Champion and effectively leading Damage CTRL. More recently she's been at the side of Women's Intercontinental Champion KAIRI and placing the blame for the attack on Kyona. Given her history, I have to wonder if Jamie Hayter has a point about Io. MAURO RANALLO: While that's unclear, what is is that VertVixen is up against an innovator in Io Shirai. She's got her work cut out for her tonight! In total sync with the announcement, Io poses atop the turnbuckles and sweeps her arm across the horizon. A mischievous grin crosses her lips before her expression goes cold. She makes a gesture that says ‘don’t take your eyes off me’ and hops down into the ring. After holding the mask up prominently, she hands her jacket and mask to the ringside staff. VertVixen looks on impatiently, but Io is in no rush. She suddenly drops down into the splits to stretch out before the contest to come.IO SHIRAI VS. VERTVIXEN SINGLES MATCH VertVixen begins circling the ring, eyes on Io the whole time - she knows taking her eyes off of her opponent will be hazardous to her health. This brings the cocky grin back to Io's face and she decides to play along, circling the ring as well. After a full rotation Io motions for Vert to bring it, which Vert does in earnest by charging in to hit a running dropkick. Still mid taunt Io takes the brunt of it and hits the mat hard, giving Vert the opening to charge in and attempt a running senton - no! Io grabs her the moment she gets close and sends her flying with a monkey flip. Vert flips over onto her back With Io holding her by the wrists, and the Genius of the Sky rolls through to her feet before leaping up and nailing Vert's ribs with a double stomp. Io covers but only gets two. Sensing she's got the momentum on her side, Io kicks at Vert while the taller woman struggles to her feet. As soon as Vert's up she forearms Io right in the face, forcing Io to stagger back while holding her face. Seeing this Vert throws another forearm and whiffs it as Io ducks under the blow; Io shoots back up a moment later and snaps Vert's head back with a palm strike uppercut. Io then runs the ropes, hitting the opposite side to build momentum before dodging a desperate big boot with a handpsring evasion. As soon as Vert turns around Io nails her with a dropkick that sends her to her knees, hanging on the middle rope. To a big pop from the WWE Universe Io kips up and lets another kiai loose while smiling ear to ear. BETH PHOENIX: The agility of Io Shirai is second to none! VertVixen may not even know where she is right now. Not one to waste too much time she runs the ropes again and nails Vert right in the face with a Tiger Feint Kick! Vert crashes to the mat and Io's grin widens. When Vert just barely manages to stagger to her feet, Io's right behind her to wrap her arms around Vert's waist - and deadlift her up and back for a nasty German suplex! Vert accordions and goes limp as Io senses the end has come. Io makes a point of stepping on Vert while making the 'it's over' gesture, then springs up to the top rope as the crowd begins to buzz. MAURO RANALLO: The Genius of the Sky's taking flight! Io flips backward off the top rope, nailing a picture perfect moonsault. She leans back on VertVixen and counts with the ref. One! Two!! Three!!! WINNER IO SHIRAI Pinfall, 2:30 'Tokyo Shock' hits again as the fans mostly cheer the sight of Io's hand being raised in victory. The former Women's Champion dusts off her hands with that cocky grin on full display, all business after notching her first win since returning to action. She doesn't waste time lingering in the ring or reveling in the simple first win, but she does get stopped on her way to the back by Megan Morant with a mic in hand. For a moment Io stares at the curtain and seems to think that leaving would be a better use of her time.MEGAN MORANT: Io, first of all welcome back to WWE! How did it feel to be back in that ring tonight, and what brings you back to WWE? IO SHIRAI: Thanks. I mean, how does it feel? Didn't you see me out there? There's no better feeling than reminding everyone why they should never take their eyes off of me. As for what brings me back? Well, it's a lot of things. A lot! Maybe I'll fill you in later, maybe I won't. MEGAN MORANT: Last week, Jamie Hayter accused you of being the one who attacked Kyona Yano right here on Sunday Night Heat. How do you respond to her allegations that you're just blaming her for your actions? Io's seen visibly rolling her eyes at the very question.IO SHIRAI: Let's get something straight. Jamie can believe whatever she wants to believe - she's already making shit up since she still claims to be the real Intercontinental Champion. News flash Jamie - just because you throw around lies doesn't mean anything. Do you REALLY think I'd attack a friend who I was training for her in ring return? For what? It makes as much sense as you being more worried about me and what I didn't do than the championship you're fighting for at SummerSlam. One of us has a history of brutal attacks. I think the answer is pretty obvious. She shrugs, feeling like everyone already knows it too.IO SHIRAI: Jamie's the one who called me a corporate puppet, and she's wrong about that too. Big surprise. That's why I'm here as Io Shirai. My name, who I am, what I represent, none of that's owned by anyone but me! She'd better remember that the next time she opens your mouth. MEGAN MORANT: Now that you're back in WWE, do y- IO SHIRAI: Sorry Megan. I came here tonight to take care of business and send a message. Unlike some of the.. more tenured talent I took care of business quickly. What I do next? You'll have to just wait and see. With that she gives Megan a confident nod as 'Tokyo Shock' fades back in and she heads to the back.

HOOK VS. FUEGO DEL SOL SINGLES MATCH The bell rings as Fuego immediately shoots in the direction of Hook, but he is caught. HOOK graviates his body, throwing Fuego with ease. HOOK latches onto the prone back of Fuego, adjusting his leg over his foes, tying him down onto the mat. HOOK clutches at the mask of Fuego, before sending some very powerful elbow shots into the head of Del Sol. HOOK quickly gets back to his feet, he grabs at the foot of Del Sol, but he kicks back at HOOK. Del Sol rebounds, but he's caught by HOOK once more. This time HOOK connects with a Koshi-Guruma, or more commonly known as an over the shoulder Judo toss. Fuego crashes onto the mat, and HOOK seems frustrated by the fact Fuego retorted. HOOK sends two more elbow shots to the back of Fuego's head, before latching on the REDRUM! It doesn't take long before Fuego is out cold. Statement to say the least. WINNER HOOK SUBMISSION 1:16It appears that in victory, HOOK stood tall. It doesn't take long before his father Taz joins him.BETH PHOENIX: After that Heat debut, I think HOOK has moved a lot of eyes here tonight. MAURO RANALLO: You can never say count out the heart of someone like Fuego Del Sol. But even the biggest of hearts would have a hard time fighting against someone wanting to send a message. I think we're about to hear more from our new faces. Taz taps his son on the shoulder. A larger-than-life expression stretched across the face of the former ECW World Champion. TAZ: Now I'm sure you've heard all these rumors runnin' around sayin' that my son HOOK, and his old man decided to sign a deal with the WWE. Well, let's cut to the chase. You wouldn't be seein' our faces if it wasn't true. You see this man to my right? You might know 'em as Hook. I know 'em as my SON. My own flesh, and blood. If you know anything about my career it's that I've never been tha' type to back down. It's got me into more fights than probably this entire roster combined. Let's just say my son is cut from the same damn cloth. Quite frankly, he's a tough son of a bitch. I mean did you see what he did to Fuego? I think that means fire or some crap in Spanish. If so my boy just extinguished that poor boy. HOOK holds his hand up to his father as if to stop him. His father graces him with a chuckle before patting him on the shoulder.TAZ: My son is right. Enough of tha' funny biz. It's time to get straight to the heart of tha' matta'. I didn't come back to tha' WWE to just watch my son. I came back to tha' WWE to see my son become a champion. HOOK didn't come to tha' WWE to be some mid nobody. HOOK came to tha' WWE because he knew this is where tha' best come to compete. HOOK came to tha' WWE because he knew he had somethin' to prove. This man right here is a cold-hearted killer. An assassin at will. He will break a man before they can even move. Tha' kid is a freak of nature. He's got a little bit of his old man's style to 'em too. Throwin' these boys and droppin' 'em like they're garbage. While we're on tha' top of tha' boys in tha' back -- Let me leave a message direct for each and everyone of 'ya. HOOK isn't afraid of any of you. I know these locker rooms work. Tha' new kid comes in, and the vets try to pester you. Try to make you their bitch. I DARE any of you sons of a bitches in the back want that challenge, then please by all means dig your grave. So boys, I'll be leavin' wit' this. BEAT HIM IF YOU CAN.... SURVIVE IF HE LETS YOU!Taz tosses the microphone to the side. Clearly he was a proud father, who just witnessed his son's triumphant WWE debut. Perhaps painting an even bigger target on the back of his son in the process. However, knowing HOOK -- This is all the more satisfying. The tougher the fight, the bigger the reward. A win win.

WWE Heat returns from a quick commercial break, with Beth Phoenix and Mauro Ranallo on commentary, joined by Paul Heyman. The atmosphere is electric as Solo steps into the ring, ready to face Mikey Wild. Heyman, in his masterful style, paints a vivid picture for the viewers. PAUL HEYMAN: Ladies and gentlemen, what you're witnessing is not just a match—it's a demonstration of dominance. Solo is here to dismantle Mikey Wild, and he’s doing it with precision. BETH PHOENIX:Solo's intensity is off the charts tonight. You can see he’s got something to prove. MAURO RANALLO: Absolutely, Beth. The way Solo is tearing through Mikey Wild, it's like watching a force of nature! PAUL HEYMAN: Tonight, he's here to remind everyone why he's a force to be reckoned with. SOLO SIKOA VS. Wild struggles to get to his feet, but Solo doesn't give him a moment to recover. He lifts Wild high into the air and slams him down with a thunderous spinebuster. Solo drags Wild to his feet and throws him into the corner. He unleashes a barrage of vicious punches and kicks, each strike echoing through the arena. Wild slumps in the corner, barely conscious. After the beatdown, the lights flicker and go out briefly. When they come back on, they are bright white and gold. Gold confetti begins to shower down on Solo. Confusion and anger spread across Solo's face as he barks at Heyman to get to the bottom of this unexpected display. BETH PHOENIX: What's going on here? This isn't a celebration Solo wanted. MAURO RANALLO: It looks like someone’s trying to send a message, but Solo is clearly not amused. In a fit of rage, Solo picks up the lifeless body of Mikey Wild and tosses him over the top rope, all while the gold confetti continues to rain down. The scene transitions to a SummerSlam promo as we are left with Solo glaring at Heyman, demanding answers, as the confetti continues to fall.

The camera cuts to the commentator’s desk, where Mauro Ranallo and Beth Phoenix sit, poised to guide the audience through another thrilling episode of Heatwave. The screen flickers with dynamic clips from last week’s high-octane action, highlighting jaw-dropping moments and fierce competition.MAURO RANALLO: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the third instalment of Heatwave! If you thought last week was intense, tonight is set to blow your mind! We’re down to our final competitors, and the tension is at an all-time high! BETH PHOENIX: That’s right, Mauro. Last week saw two shocking eliminations, but tonight the stakes are even higher. We have a gruelling challenge ahead, and with Dawn Marie calling the shots, anything can happen. Beth’s voice carries a hint of disapproval, reflecting her disdain for Dawn Marie’s manipulative tactics. Her background as a former wrestler lends credibility and a unique perspective to her commentary, adding depth to her analysis.MAURO RANALLO: It’s becoming increasingly clear that Dawn Marie is willing to bend, if not outright break, the rules to get what she wants. It’s frustrating to see such underhanded tactics overshadowing the genuine talent that this competition put forward. BETH PHOENIX: Absolutely, Mauro. The competitors have worked so hard to get here, and it’s disheartening to see their efforts undermined by such blatant favouritism. This show gets more like a soap opera and less of a display of true athleticism as the weeks go on. The arena lights dim, creating an atmosphere charged with anticipation. The official theme song, ‘Espresso’ by Sabrina Carpenter booms through the speakers, its upbeat tempo rousing the crowd into a mixture of reactions. Dawn Marie makes her entrance, her walk exuding confidence and command. Her black catsuit is a perfect blend of elegance and authority, shimmering under the arena lights. Every step she takes is measured, her eyes scanning the crowd with a mix of amusement and challenge. Velvet Sky is closely behind, a referee attire tailored to perfection with cuts in all the right places, accentuating her frame. She smirks at the audience, her demeanour playful yet intimidating, as if daring anyone to challenge her, too. Followed close by her, is what looks like our two finalists, Scarlett Bordeaux and Viva Vann, both in their own gym gears. They give their own welcome to tonight’s crowd, a sense of determination in their eyes. Hoping that tonight, before SummerSlam, they can shock the world and win Heatwave.MAURO RANALLO: Here comes Dawn Marie, the puppet master behind all this chaos. She struts down that ramp like she owns the place, but let’s not forget the girls following close by. One of them will go on to gain a full time contract and $100,000! BETH PHOENIX: Well, it’s just sad to see how Dawn manipulates some of these great competitors. But I have a feeling these women are ready to prove themselves, no matter what Dawn throws at them. Outside of the ring, an elaborate obstacle course stands ready. The setup is designed to test every aspect of the competitors physical and mental prowess. Weights of varying sizes line one side, next to a skipping rope that promises to test their endurance. A small trampoline is positioned nearby, ready to challenge their agility and balance. The towering wall looms large, a formidable barrier that requires strength and strategy to overcome. A sack race segment adds a whimsical yet demanding element to the course, and finally, a buzzer at the end marks the completion of the challenge. Scarlett Bordeaux and Viva Van stay outside the ring, standing nearer the starting line, soaking in the buzz in the arena. The camera captures close-ups of their expressions, revealing a mix of focus, anxiety, and resolve. Dawn and Velvet make it up the steel steps, Velvet waiting to do her iconic pose between the top and middle ropes, swaying her hips in motion until she sits on the middle rope, giving it leeway as Dawn enters the ring to a mixed reaction. Once the women are in the ring they centre themselves before Dawn is handed a microphone. DAWN MARIE: Welcome back to Heatwave, everyone! Tonight, we’re going to see just how tough our remaining girls are, but first, let me introduce tonight’s very special co-host. She’s a reality TV icon, a true diva in every sense of the word… Brandi Glanville! The theme song ‘Espresso’ blares through the PA system yet again as Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, Brandi Glanville, makes her way down the ramp looking beautiful as ever. The camera follows her journey, capturing the mixed reactions from the crowd. Some fans cheer loudly, appreciating her star power and presence, while others boo, perhaps wary of the drama she might bring. Brandi exudes confidence, her smile bright as she joins Dawn and Velvet in the ring. The three exchange air kisses, a gesture that underscores their camaraderie. BRANDI GLANVILLE: Hello, California! Are you ready for some action? The crowd’s response is a cacophony of cheers and boos, a testament to Brandi's polarising persona. She revels in the attention, her charisma undeniable.DAWN MARIE: Brandi, we’re thrilled to have you. You’ll be tonight’s timekeeper, making sure these ladies give it their all. When you start the timer we’ll see who can handle the heat and who’s going to crumble under the pressure. These women will go through the circuit set up around the outside of the ring, keeping to all of our watchful count. Once they hit the final buzzer, you’ll stop the clock and I’ll reveal the time, how’ds that sound? The crowd’s anticipation builds as the challenge is set. Dawn hands Brandi a stopwatch, and Velvet exits the ring, positioning herself next to the challengers with a determined look.BRANDI GLANVILLE: Alrighty! Let’s get this show on the road! DAWN MARIE: Viva, you’re up first! Viva Van steps forward, her face a picture of concentration. The camera zooms in on her, capturing the intensity in her eyes. She takes her position at the starting line, her muscles tensed and ready for action. “On your mark, get set, go!” Viva launches into the circuit with explosive energy. She grabs the weights, lifting and pressing with powerful, precise movements. The camera captures the strain on her face and the determination in her eyes. Moving on to the skipping rope, she demonstrates agility and speed, her feet a blur of motion. At the trampoline, she bounces with grace and control, despite Velvet mischievously finding a water gun and squirting her down to throw her off balance! Viva remains undeterred, tackling the climbing wall with skill and speed. She grabs the sack, hopping her way to the finish line and slamming the buzzer for Brandi to stop the clock.BRANDI GLANVILLE: Good job, girl. You got there in 3 minutes and 50 seconds! DAWN MARIE: Scarlett, get ready. Scarlett Bordeaux steps forward, her confidence palpable. The camera captures her seductive smile as she takes her position at the starting line. “Ready, set, go!” Scarlett moves quickly through the circuit. She handles the weights with ease, her muscles rippling with every lift. Her transition to the skipping rope is fluid and fast, her movements almost hypnotic. At the trampoline, she pauses to provocatively remove her top, drawing loud wolf whistles from the crowd. Despite the distraction, she continues with determination, climbing the wall with agility and hopping through the sack race segment with precision.BRANDI GLANVILLE: An impressive 3 minutes and 44 seconds! The crowd murmurs as Scarlett basks in her victory. The camera captures the pride in her eyes and the satisfaction in her smile. Just as Dawn Marie is about to congratulate her, the speaker system is interrupted, and the cameras turn to the entrance ramp.“OMATASESHIMASHITA! WHO IS THE CUTEST IN THE WORLD?!”
“ITOH-CHAAAAAN!" The entrance music for Maki Itoh blares through the speakers, an upbeat tune that immediately excites the audience. The camera captures the crowd's reaction, their faces lighting up with excitement. Maki Itoh steps onto the stage, mic in hand, performing her signature song, ‘Brooklyn The Hole.’MAURO RANALLO: Finally. Some justice to the competition. BETH PHOENIX: Is this the week that the competition is finally saved? Will Maki Itoh enter in a bid to ‘get the F in?’ MAURO RANALLO: Is there any need to cuss, Beth? The camera zooms in, capturing her vibrant and charismatic entrance. Dressed in a dazzling outfit mixing punk rock and kawaii fashion, her leather jacket is adorned with colorful patches, a plaid skirt, and knee-high boots. Her hair is styled in her trademark twin tails, each tied with a matching bow. The crowd chants along as she makes her way down the ramp, high-fiving fans and exuding infectious energy. Her performance is a spectacle, filled with animated gestures and expressions that captivate everyone watching. As she reaches the ramp, she continues singing, her voice powerful and confident, lifting an arm to encourage the crowd to join her in song. The excitement in the arena is palpable, with cheers echoing throughout.DAWN MARIE: Alright, Maki, enough of this. We have all seen your fantastic performances before. We get it. Now, come on, bring yourself to the starting line and show us you’ve got what it takes to really be someone. Maki drops the mic with a defiant smirk, stepping up to the starting line, ready to tackle the obstacle course. “Get ready. Go!” Velvet signals the start, and Itoh launches into the circuit with fierce determination. Her movements are swift and agile as she tackles each station with impressive skill, eliciting cheers from the crowd. She powers through the weights, skips the rope with ease, and bounces on the trampoline with incredible energy. Her confidence and athleticism are on full display, captivating the audience.MAURO RANALLO: Look at Maki go! She’s giving it her all, despite the odds stacked against her. BETH PHOENIX: It’s great to see someone bringing real heart to this competition. But we know what Dawn can be like. How long will this last? As Maki reaches the sack race segment, Velvet Sky’s sinister plan unfolds. Velvet rushes forward, brutally shoulder-checking Maki to the ground. The crowd gasps in shock, the impact leaving Maki crumpled and unprotected. Velvet, showing no remorse, grabs Maki by her hair, picking her up and dragging her under the bottom rope into the ring with her. The other competitors and officials look on in horror as Velvet yet again picks her up to deliver a vicious Stunner, leaving Maki crumpled out on the mat.MAURO RANALLO: This is despicable! Maki Itoh didn’t deserve this. Velvet and Dawn have taken this too far. BETH PHOENIX: It’s sickening to see such blatant abuse of power every Sunday night. Velvet again grabs Maki, lifting her up as Brandi Glanville now looks on with visible disgust. Brandi shakes her head, exiting the ring in disapproval of the ruthless attack. “I want nothing to do with this, you bitches are disgusting!” Dawn gives a wicked laugh, watching Brandi exit as she now steps in, closing in on a disorientated Maki as Velvet hooks into her arms from behind her, keeping her limp frame up as Dawn addresses her.DAWN MARIE: You really thought you could run riot all over my show, well you have another thing coming! I would tell Brandi to stop the clock but she’s left you all alone and it looks like your time is well and truly up. You have been eliminated! ELIMINATED MAKI ITOH CONTESTANTS REMAINING: SCARLETT BORDEAUX, VIVA VAN DAWN MARIE: You are nothing but my livestock now, and I’m going to let my girls reclaim the time you’ve taken from them every week. Scarlett. Go on. Slap her! Dawn then turns to Scarlett Bordeaux. Scarlett, grinning wickedly, steps forward, delivering a forceful slap, laughing heartily as she does so. The camera captures the cruel satisfaction in her eyes.DAWN MARIE: Viva, come on honey, your turn! Viva Van, looking on with sadness in her eyes, begins to shake her head, refusing to participate despite the pressure. Dawn, irate at Viva’s defiance, slaps her hard across the face. The impact sends Viva’s head snapping to the side. Dawn doesn't look at the damage she's just done, she turns to face Maki, throwing her open palm to slap her herself. Velvet untangles her arms from Itoh's, letting her limp body fall on the mat. Dawn, now fuming, brings the mic to her mouth yet again.DAWN MARIE: You think you can defy me, Viva? Just like Maki, you don’t have what it takes to be in this company. You’ve shown each and everyone of us weakness, and in this business, in this world, weakness is a fatal flaw. Consider yourself eliminated. HEATWAVE WINNER SCARLETT BORDEAUX ELIMINATED: VIVA VAN DAWN MARIE: And now, it’s my pleasure to announce the early, but final winner of Heatwave 2024, Scarlett Bordeaux!MAURO RANALLO: This is outrageous! This can’t be the end! We were promised a finale at SummerSlam. Viva stood up for what’s right, and she's punished for it. This is not how competition should be. BETH PHOENIX: It’s clear that Dawn Marie is only interested in controlling the narrative. But real strength is standing up for what's right, just like Viva did, and just like what Maki was trying to do. The crowd’s boos cascade through the arena as ‘Espresso’ blares through the speakers, marking the end of the competition. The camera captures the triumphant celebration of Dawn, Velvet, and Scarlett in the ring, seemingly amused with the audience’s clear discontent.MAURO RANALLO: Tonight’s events have shown the dark side of wrestling competitions. Let’s hope future competitions like this, bring a change in leadership and a fairer contest. BETH PHOENIX: Until then, we’ll keep calling it like we see it, Mauro. The competitors deserved better from Heatwave, and so did the fans. The camera lingers on the victorious trio in the ring, their celebration a stark contrast to the crowd's dissatisfaction, before fading to black.
